Secondly, the Mistborn trilogy - superfun, and Sanderson's created the most excellent magic system. Highly engaging, wonderful world building, super fast reads. An.. unusual ending that will likely surprise you. Heh.
If you like Sanderson's style, then move on to Way of Kings, which is BRILLIANT, but very large. Plus its the first in a series of which the rest aren't out yet. So that's something to consider.
Still it's a super great book and should be read at some point. :)

The first in the Mistborn series was pretty good but very allegorical and I lost all interest in continuing it.
The Way of Kings was awesome but as Samantha said is pretty hefty plus only book 1 is out.
The Night Angel series was a lot of fun. There is also The Black Prism, the first in the Lightbringer series also by Brent Week. Was a pretty good book.
The Demon Cycle is very good. Very eagerly waiting for the third book.
Haven't read the other two.

However, I am reading The Way of Kings right now, and I am completely in love with it. I absolutely loved Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy as well.
I heard a lot of really great stuff about the Night Angel series... but I was bored and kind of uninterested by it, and abandoned it unfinished. =\

Unfortunately, I haven't read the others so I can't comment on them.

My reference was to Brandon Sanderson being a sculptor of words, not Robert Jordon. However, I do have a tremendous amount of respect for Robert Jordan, and I do love the way he writes. Brandon Sanderson is much better, but he can write disturbingly like Jordan when he tries.
