BMDC: What is BMDC?

Are you curious about what books will be made into the next major motion picture? Well look no further! Each month, NBRC will feature the latest book to movie adaptations. This feature is called Books to Movies Database/Calendar (BMDC). In order to give our members enough time to read before seeing the movie, we will post a month in advance (that is, if one of the books/movies spotlighted captures your attention). This feature can also be used as a resource for the Read It Before You See It Challenge and the Books to Movies Challenge.

As with all our topics, we'd like to spark a discussion. We'd like to know...
1. If you've read a book listed, and if you'll see it.
2. If you've read the book and seen the movie:
a. Did you like the book?
b. Did you like the movie?
c. Did the movie do the book justice

Be sure to check out the Books on Screen feature by the Book Reporter. It served as an inspiration and guide while I tried to figure out how to put this together.

Janet Evanovich, by One for the Money

From Wiki:

One for the Money is an upcoming 2012 action comedy film based on the 1994 novel of the same name, written by Janet Evanovich. Directed by Julie Anne Robinson, the screenplay was written by Liz Brixius, Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith. It stars Katherine Heigl, Jason O'Mara, Debbie Reynolds, Daniel Sunjata and Sherri Shepherd.

Release is tentatively scheduled for January 27, 2012.

Love this idea! There are some really popular books heading into theaters this year, so it'll be great to discuss whether the book was better than the movie. =)

I'm glad you like it, Aneeqah. I knew there were a lot of book-to-movie adaptations but I didn't quite realize just how many until I stared to put everything together.
