CaroB! I've missed you! How is the new year treating you?
Hi Susan!!! I've missed you too :-) I've been having GR withdrawals, crazy, huh? New Year has gotten off to a fantastic start for me. We just got back from 2 wonderful weeks in Sydney with family and friends. Could have handled another week, but it's also lovely to be home, you know? We only arrived 6 hours ago, and as soon as kids and hubby were in bed, I booted up my faithful computer. Santa must have lost my letter about wanting a laptop :-( But I'm hoping if I'm really good this year... lol, you never know! Maybe if I stopped spending all my money on books, I could buy it myself... nah! Who am I kidding, that'll never happen!How were your hols? Are you back at work yet? (not sure how it works in the U.S. - do you get a break for christmas or only the 25th?)
It sounds like you had a wonderful vacation! I'm terribly jealous LOL I got a Kindle for Christmas!...and some pearls. I think Hubs was disappointed that I liked the Kindle better than the pearls :)The new year has been eh. Long story. Anyway, yes, I'm back at work already. The girls started back to school on Wednesday and I went back Tuesday. I still haven't done my lesson plans for the month though. I need to work on that today if I can pull myself away from my book :)
Yaaay the kindle! I completely get how that would've gotten a bigger reaction. It's a book addicts' ultimate toy (well, any e-reader, really) I have one too and I luuurve it. I call it My Precious in a weird Golum-sounding voice, just to annoy my husband cos it freaks him out. I take it everywhere. But pearls are pretty too :-) Just think, for this year, with an "eh" start, things can only get better!

uh... only one star for 'Strange Neighbors'. That sounds bad :/ I think I have this book on my ebook to-read-pile.
It wasn't my cup of tea at all Bookcrazy, but I've seen plenty of reviews saying they love the humour. *shrugs* I got it as a freebie, so at least it was only my time that was wasted. Loved the other two though!
Not good indeed. I was going to read that one, but I've trusted your opinion in the past, CaroB. Gonna move that one down the TBR list. =)

I have to agree that's a hard decision. They are two of my favorite series. Jack Reacher or Harry Dresden? Two great heroes, two very different genres, both excellent. Enjoy reading!
Let's put it this way. I've re-read the Dresden files, and I would anticipate at least another re-read.; I haven't re-read the Reacher series (yet). :)
