EDIT - BONUS TASK

I was just sitting out on the deck and realized that there isn't a task that addresses hobbies. So, I decided to add a bonus task: Read a book about your hobby or a sport you love.

Well, I'm hoping that the Challenge Yourself group will be a record keeping kind of site. I'm not planning group reads or anything too strenuous!

If I plan it right, I hope to have some of these books double for other personal challenges. I also like how this challenge sets up reading material that I wouldn’t normally grab from the shelf first.

Wish that the Challenge (Beta) program had the ability to be “task” based as well as “books read” based.

Thank you for your supportive words.

Debra (debra_t) | 6542 comments I see we both used Stephen King as our USA author. And, that we both found authors with our maiden name Cross. Cool, huh?

Well, Marrs and Sadell were pretty difficult to match! Was Tucker difficult?

What Cross did you use? I have actually been re-thinking my choice.

Debra (debra_t) | 6542 comments Tucker, not Rucker - geesh! lol Probably not hard to match, but I had a Cross on my TBR list. It's The Girl in the Steel Corset by Kady Cross. Will be my first Steampunk novel. It's also Young Adult.

Corrected!! I mis-spelled somewhere else as well...both times it was the T that gave me trouble.

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments I don't do geneaology (I let my dad update me), but I love cemeteries, the older the better. I have seen beautiful ones with ornate statuary and simple family ones, military ones and memorial gardens. They all fascinate me, from the different styles of headstones and statues, to the inscriptions. One of my favorite epitaphs:

"Write your name with love, mercy and kindness on the hearts of those about you and you will never be forgotten."
