We have a rescue cat, he came to us shaved down both sides. It took us a few days to reassure him that he didn't have to hide behind the sofa every time he saw a pair of feet. To start with he would attack legs for no reason at all but he calmed down after a few years.

I think book covers are very important. Sometimes a reaaly good one will cause me to buy the book without even checking the description first.

You really need to read them, so very much better than show. Totally different relationships with characters.

Lori Goldstein I'm doing a Feb. Challenge in another group and would like some "light" Science Fiction suggestions to read next month.

BTW I have an e-reader (KOBO) and it takes EPUB files only at the moment.

Thanx in advance for your help.

Have you tried the Sabriel, Lirael and Aborsen? It's a series by Garth Nix. Looking at that I think it's something you might enjoy. I certainly did.

Okay here are some random but good stuff that happened to me today.

I think I will be moving back to Austin so thats a major deal because I won't have to live so far from my job.

Second I might be up for a new position at my job but I have to wait until March to find out if I got it or not....

Third I just finished Half Black Soul and it was insane! There is nothing like this series because it surely rocks!

@Sheri, it was a group that was dedicated to all adult books...no YA allowed. So, BDB, Dark Hunter, Anita Blake...etc. etc. I liked it because it turned me on (pun intended, haha) to new authors.

She just turned 17. She's been bugging me for weeks about dresses! This one was twice what I would spend, so she's making up the difference.

Today is national "Make A Friend Day"...

"Do you have enough friends? The answer should be no. No matter how many friends we have, more of them increases our wealth. That's because friends are one of life's valuable assets. You just can't have too many friends.

Make a Friend Day is a great opportunity to meet someone new, or do something to make a new friend. Making a new friend can be easier to do than you think. There must be a gadzillion ways to make new friends. It often helps by smiling and just being friendly or helpful.

Spend "Make a Friend Day" being just being friendly, and by doing special or nice things for others."
