I would love to read various classic collections (i.e. Grimm, Anderson, Perrault.)!
As I said in my intro, a lot of the versions of many classic European Faerie tales I know are actually Wald Disney versions. Even when I read Faerie Tales to my son when he was little, they were edited, not so scary versions.
Since I am not really familiar with many of the original versions anyway, it does not matter to me which tale we start with first.
I'd love to volunteer as a moderator but can't at the moment. Maybe later.
Thanks so much! This a fun group!

We can include Fables. Tale of the Month is/was an attempt to get conversations going about different stories. If you decide you want to lead a discussion, just let me know when (is next month too soon?).

I do like the idea of working through some classic collections.
Basically just to make sure everyone behaves and if I can't to start the threads for group reads. I just want someone who is quasi active to moderate if I can overwhelmed at work or something, Joanne.
So it does look like we are going to work though classic collections. I'll set up a thread where we can figue out how to do this.

1. In addition to the bi-montly reading of two books (one YA, one adult), should we also start to make our way though various classic collections (ie Grimm, Anderson, Perrault) as well? Is there enough interst to put this to a vote?
2. Are there any suggestions for future Tale of Month posts? Does anyone want to do a Tale of the Month post?
3. Does anyone want to take over the position as third moderator?
4. Any other suggestions?
