Please delete this book! (pt. 11)
These two books are actually the same book.http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...

I have been asked by the Author to delete this version of his book as it is no longer available and he has re-edited and published. I have added the new one for him but am not allowed to delete this one so please can you do it or us. Thanks http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/64...
We do not delete books that have been published even if they are now unavailable, then republished. This is a book cataloging site in the same way a book would not be removed from a library shelf.Having said that I see you have deleted it

Hi,Can one of the Super Librarians please delete an edition of a book for me? I can't do it as the book has more than 5 reviews. There are two identical hardcover editions of Reus by author Annelies Verbeke present, one with and one without a cover image. Could someone please delete the copy without the cover image for me? As I said, both editions are completely identical. Thanks!
I need someone to take down my Free Read Most Unpopular Workday of the Year.
My publisher pulled it (I thought from everywhere) but then I found it here. It was based on a true story...about 90%, and it was from My LIFE. Some of the mean comments on other sites devastated me, so my publisher agreed to delete it. I hope you will too.

I'm sorry, but we don't remove books that are out of print or no longer being published, just as a library would not remove them from their shelves.

For this book, ISBN-10 "1450755631" & ISBN-13 "978-1450755634" are dupes of the same paperback. Super, please delete/combine.
Can a super delete/merge this one: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13... The isbn isn't correct, looks like it the ISBN13 from this one: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12... chopped off. I've already combined with the correct editions.
Can I ask a Library to delete this book: Streaks of Red
I am the author and have already removed it from Smashwords, Amazon and B&N. It would be much appreciated; thanks!
Re 641 - We do not delete books that have been published and where people have reviewed. This is book cataloging site, people want to shelve books they have readThis one has been reviewed by a number of people
If there is a legal reason for it to be removed then you need to email GR Support and request there
Paula wrote: "Re 639
All books are combined - the ISBN's are correct and there is no need to delete"
But the ISBN10 and ISBN13 don't need two separate records (which was the case). Merged/edited.

So I just have to let people continue to bash my life?

This is a book review and cataloging site if a book has been published and read people will catalog and review. The books would not be pulled from libraries just because they became unavailable
Ashlyn wrote: "So I just have to let people continue to bash my life? "I just looked at the reviews here on Goodreads. I really don't see any bashing going on. Just comments about the writing itself.
The book itself is not offered to read on this site, just links to where it might be found. If it has been pulled from all source, then no one can obtain it.
Is there a problem with what is here?

I don't dare read consumer reviews of my books--especially this one. People on Amazon were heartless. Someone actually called the story "drek" (Yiddish for garbage.) My assistant practically had to talk me off a ledge.
*sigh* It was a freebie. If people don't care for it, I wish they'd keep it to themselves. It's not like anyone is going to lose their hard earned money.
I really hope you folks can understand and help me out.
If not, I guess I'm the one who has to shut up.

Ashlyn wrote: "I don't dare read consumer reviews of my books--especially this one. People on Amazon were heartless."I think you can safely look at the reviews here. There were only 5 reviews, but 33 people rated it. (Average rating 2 1/4 out of 5. Not too bad.) I'll give you a few representative quotes from the reviews:
Once again disappointed. This intrigued me because I am an RN . . . Needed depth.
Sweet story
Very quick read, could have been more to it, but it workedI should also note for you that there seems to be a significant number of people who still want to read it.
You'll find that most people here will give an honest review and not use it as an excuse to lash out.
There are also writers groups here, who might be able to help you rework your book to your satisfaction.
Feel free to write me off-list, if you wish, as we are really quite far off topic.

Thanks for your response, Paula! Streaks of Red was part of a short story series that has now been combined into one book. Instead of deleting it, could we merge the two? The larger compilation is called
The Kindred Curse Anthology
That way, we won't lose the reviews...is that possible?
Gaaah. Rewrite it? Are you kidding me? Now I REALLY want to cry.
And even if I did, my free gift will still be thrown back in my face by someone.
Nope. SO not worth it.

We don't combine parts with wholes.
Also, users want to be able to review the exact edition they read.

These two need to be merged - super needed.Has ISBN
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/79...
lacks ISBN
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...
Need super. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13... has a truncated ISBN13 in the ISBN10 field. It's the same book as http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13... .
Requesting a super librarian looks at (and deletes) the entry at http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/87.... It's not a book, nor an audio-book, it's a CD of his live stand-up performance.Unless somebody wants to make me a super librarian... ;)
Why thank you. To show my appreciation, here's another one. It's a page-a-day calendar and not a book.http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11...
