45!!! Thank God I am only reading 15.. :p

Ha ha! The only minus point is you keep on reading and nothing gets finished. I have only recently developed this habit of reading so many books at once because I feel restless and itchy to start this book and that. I guess having a huge TBR gets on my nerves at times. I want to read them all. ;)
Kat wrote: "I'm confused reading THREE at a time. How do you keep all the books, characters, plots straight?!"It's an advantage you get after mugging up all the textbooks. Remembering fiction seems like bliss when compared to remembering for an exam. ;)
LOL I really don't have 45 going lol that was an exaggeration...I probably have 15-20 : ) I don't know Kat, I just do. They are all different so it is fairly easy. When I put one down and then pick it back up later to read it just all comes back to me. There's something different going on in each book I guess lol Heck I don't know lolololol
I eventually get them read lol it seems I finally reach a point in each that keeps me turning its pages until I am done. But until then, I start another and another cause I am anxious to read them all.
I tell my friends that they watch a tv program for an hour then watch something else. They pick up the plot a week later right where the program ended the week before. If they can do that, they'd have no trouble having several books on the go at the same time.I don't like to have more than 3 going at the same time. It's great when I finish all the books around the same time. Hehehe!
I tend to read 2 books at once one physical book and one kindle.. and I'm pretty good at not getting confused.. I do sometimes get confused reading one book sometimes I have to write a cast list.. that's what I call it with the persons name and little nuggets of background info.. so I think it doesn't matter how many books I'm reading I'm going to end up confused..
Autumn wrote: "I tend to read 2 books at once one physical book and one kindle.. and I'm pretty good at not getting confused.. However it proved very useful when I was reading Battle Royale which stars with 42 (!) characters....
Kat wrote: "Kimberly wrote: "42 Characters?!"Yep, with Japanese names which made it even harder!"
Intimidating...
Kat wrote: "Autumn wrote: "I tend to read 2 books at once one physical book and one kindle.. and I'm pretty good at not getting confused.. I do sometimes get confused reading one book sometimes I have to write..."Now that must have been a hard read.
To be honest, the way that it's written doesn't make it that difficult to keep track of the characters, they're all quite well "looped-back" in each scene they appear (without a whole recap being necessary). And the book has a cast list on the inside cover for reference!
Janice wrote: "I tell my friends that they watch a tv program for an hour then watch something else. They pick up the plot a week later right where the program ended the week before. If they can do that, they'd..."Janice, I've made that point myself, but people still think I'm crazy
I went to the library today to pick up a copy of
. I've been wanting to read this one for a while. While I was there I stumbled upon a delightful children's novel
. I can't wait to read it to my niece. The last one I found was a major find (at least for me). I own a copy of
that I read every Christmas. It is a wonderful new imagining with amazing paintings. I have just loved it for the last 5 years. So... while browsing at the library, I found out that there is much more to the story
I believe this one will work nicely for Globetrotting.

Geraldine Brooks's novels are wonderful. I have read March, Year of Wonders, People of the Book & am about to read Caleb's Crossing with my offline book club. Caleb's Crossing should also do nicely for Globetrotting.
I just stalled out on People of the Book. I was really wanting March when I picked it up. I was really hooked through the first chapter but lost me around page 50. I think I will pick it up later when I don't have so many exciting things to read. :DI will look into Caleb's Crossing, Thanks!

OMG!!!! [bookcover:Saving Audie: A Pit Bull Puppy Gets a Second Chance|10043441] that looks like my dog Saturn : ) I have added that book to my TBR lol Thanks for sharing Jenna!!!!
Oh, excellent, Snooze Suzie, for helping the next generation become more literate. So, is he excited?
Girl With a Pearl Earring and Czar's Madman. The first for my in person book club since so many of us did not get around to reading it years ago but had it on our TBR list and the other as an around the world book read and we are in Estonia. I knew I would have to get it through interlibrary loan and made a gamble that I would pick the book that got voted upon and I think I am wrong but am reading it anyway! lol
Cheryl in CC NV wrote: "Oh, excellent, Snooze Suzie, for helping the next generation become more literate. So, is he excited?"Yes, he loves going to the library. We usually go once a week.

lol thanks Judy! I've never read an Alexander Dumas book so this seems like the perfect chance what with the buddy read coming up and I've also read a chapter of the James Herriot bio and it's well written. Can't wait to read more later in February.

The artwork in them is amazing. The colourist did a great job as well.

Kimberly wrote: "I've had
on my bookcase forever... you just reminded me that I have it Thanks Janice!"I have 20th Century Ghosts on my audible.com wishlist. I'm trying to decide which book to download this month. Maybe I'll get that one.
