I do the exact same thing lol

I am looking to improve my videos, so thanks for posting this topic!

All my editing is done on Final Cut Pro

I also have found awesome stuff on http://www.freesound.org and credit to those who made the audio components.
I've also found that the camera quality isn't what makes or breaks the vlog... content and review quality are more important.

But all these problems could be down to me, I have no idea...

You can get a starter pack of Serif MoviePlus free on their website, which is great for just the simple editing needed for booktube. I hope that helps :)
Anyway, I'm currently doing a mix between a Macbook webcam, a Galaxy Young mobile phone and my dad's laptop webcam :L
And I used Serif MoviePlus to edit.
I use my Samsung WB100, and I'm still trying to figure out how to make the video quality better. For editing, I use Windows Movie Maker and Photo Story. I'm just starting out, but I've already fallen in love with blogging and would like to buy a better video camera in the future.

Final Cut Pro 7
Compressor
Azden WMS-PRO Wireless Microphone
Panasonic HDC-TM300K HD Camcorder
LimoStudio 2400 Watt Light Kit AGG897

Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 Lens
SLK F143 Tripod (It is too short though)
Rode VideoMic Pro
Inspiron Pro 1600W Softbox Continuous Light Set
Hague mini Motion Cam (for panning shots)
iMovie

Jessops TP 320 Tripod
Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum HD 11
Adobe Photoshop 7.0
Couldn't afford a fancy light kit, so instead converted an old lava lamp base into a spot light (works so well), and a shade-free lamp, with generic bulb to soften the spot light, and give it a warmer colour.

As to software, I use Sony Vegas Pro.
