I just finished listening to Jonathan Maberry's The King of Plagues, the third in his Joe Ledger series. I'm digging the hell out of these books, but having listened to three of them right in a row, it's time for a bit of a break. Back to some podcasts for me.

The Cabin at the End of the World just finished this for group listen. 5 stars! It was sooooo good! This is my 3rd pick for best book of 2018. My 3rd pick that is.
Just finished listening to
, really enjoyed it! Excellent narrators and production. Still not entirely sure what I think about the story - really enjoyed it, but still have a lot of questions. Found myself still puzzling over it this morning, which is usually a good sign. Definitely recommend. Now, I'm listening to
, which is very different in tone and voice, but I'm really enjoying it so far. It's a polar opposite to The Dead House, which I appreciate. Fun so far.

Did you like the audio versions? May try the third in audio.
Just started The Cold Dish with George Guidall as the narrator. I didn't love his narration on the Dark Tower books but he is really nailing this book.

I kind of can't imagine reading the print editions now that I've got Porter's imprint so firmly ingrained. I imagine eventually I will, but for now I'm sticking solely with the audio editions.
I will be starting Dracula: Audible Edition
sometime this week for a group read. I will also be listening to All Hallows by Walter De La Mare.
I'm finishing Skeleton Crew but I just spent a week in NOLA and want to revisit the Vampire Chronicles.
I have been wanting to revisit them too. Every time I hear Simon Vance read something, it’s a struggle not to drop everything and start the vampire Lestat. He reads Jonathan barker’ Sparta in Dracula which I just finished.

I love NOLA, but haven't been there since the late 90's. I'm listening to Manson: The Life and Times of Charles Manson
I finished up the first audiobook in Martha Wells' Murderbot series, All Systems Red during this morning's commute and will be starting book two, Artificial Condition, tonight! I'm kinda lukewarm on the narrator, but I love the Murderbot.
I'm currently listening to Nights of the Living Dead: An Anthology. A couple of the stories I've found to be duds so far, at least for me personally, but several were great. They have multiple narrators, most stories with a single one, but one story with a cast (it was pretty horrifying -- great listen!).I'm not a huge zombie fan, though I have a soft spot for George Romero, in general. Zombies actually creep me out more than any other onscreen monster. Though book-zombies don't creep me out nearly as much. Kinda weird, that.
Anyway, overall, I am liking it so far. I'm probably more than half but less than 3/4 of the way through. Recommend :)
Thanks Michael, I'll try to track down the audio.Just finished a reread of The Exorcist , read by the author. Unless it's a memoir I don't usually enjoy authors reading their own work but Blatty crushed it with this version. His voicing of the demon was fantastic.
Going to start War of the Wolf shortly
I'm finishing Manson: The Life and Times of Charles Manson by Jeff Guinn. It's excellent as are all of his non fiction endeavors. It's full of detail and actually has some interviews with Manson's actual family. 4.5*I'm starting the third and last of the We Are Bob trilogy.
Been blowing through some audio books recently.....finished War of the Wolf
At the Mountains of Madness (read by Edward Hermann)
and The Amityville Horror
Currently listening to Burnt Offerings
Oooh, who narrates Burnt Offerings? Loved that book!I finished off the last of the Bobiverse books, and I'm sorry to see him/them go. All These Worlds
I'm starting Exorcist Falls
Exorcist Falls was a total blast and I highly recommend it!I'm starting John Scalzi's Agent to the Stars, narrated by Wil Wheaton.
Burnt Offerings was really good....narrator is R.C. Bray.Just finished the third book in the Longmire series Kindness Goes Unpunished and started the newest Cormoran Strike book Lethal White
Listening to Frankenstein
Not really loving Frankenstein. >.>
Oh! And listening to The Anomaly
This one has been a lot of fun so far!
I'm listening to A Murder in Time. I like the story but the narrator's American accent is awful. I'm not even American and I can tell its bad and the protagonist is American so you hear it a lot!
Exorcist Falls was one hell of a thrill ride. LOVED IT! Now I'm reading/listening to the second in a trilogy: The Book of Etta. I'm liking it more than I expected to, after scanning some of the reviews.
The Witching Hour started listening to this. I think this is the 3rd time I've read it? I forgot how much there is before we dive into the Mayfair history!
Just finished "Before I Burn" by Gaute Heivoll.Read my review here:

I worked hard on it! Hope you like it!
I'm listening to My Best Friend's Exorcism and I love it so far. I finished up The Witching Hour and I must say, Rowan got on my nerves very much this time around.
Sonja wrote: "The Cabin at the End of the WorldI am really liking the story. The reader not so much."
I love that one! It’s one of my picks for best of 2018
Listening to The Troop. I expect to finish it tomorrow during my commute. Its ok, but I'm not loving it. I just read Little Heaven and I didn't love that either. Maybe this author is not for me.
Just about to finish Thunderhead
It's a book that's been on my TBR list for a long time... Finally getting around to it. >.> So glad I'm finally getting to it. It is very good. :o Not in love with the narrator though...
