Shane looked at Kate and wondered why she was reacting the way she did. "Would you like to see?" he asked.

Ash stood ontop of the back of a couch, allowing him the spotlight for a few moments. "Attention fellow Gryffindors!" He said, speaking in a loud, cheery voice.
"My friends here-" He pulled Rhode and Daniel up onto the couch beside him. Neither looked too pleased, and were rolling amused eyes at him. "and myself, are all single and looking for some lovely ladies to attend the dance with! Anyone interested?"

Shane smiled and looked up at the daring boys, going silent. *Brave move.* he thought.

Kate smiled ''More than anything'' she stood up to her feet, it's getting dark outside because it looks like it might rain again.. I'll just go grab my jacket?'' she raised an eyebrow at Shane.

"Sure, wherever you'd like." he told her, forgetting she was wearing his jacket. He could just as easily transform in here, but he didn't want to do it in front of everyone, so he was glad she mentioned the coldness of the outdoors.

"Anyone?" Ash called out again.

"My friend Abigail might go with you. She's a little curly redhead. Big brown eyes. Super excited and happy all the time. She doesn't like quiet guys, though. Are you guys quiet?" Shane asked them, but seriously doubted it.

Ash snorted. "Rhode is, but we are definately not! As you can see!"

Kate looked at Rhode and Daniel and cocked her head to one side, wondering how old they both were. ''I don't have a date for the dance'' she bit her lip as she took of Shane's jacket and gave it him back. She replaced it with a woolly black jumper.

"Oh thank you Kate. Well if your free... You might as well attend with me?" he asked her politely. Putting his jacket back on, he smiled since it smelled like her, and walked to the door. "Well, I don't know guys. She's just super bright and bubbly, and she needs someone like that or she will leave. She's in the great hall now." he said, smelling her scent there.
"So whatdya say, Miss Kate? Go to the dance with me?" he grinned.

Kate widened her eyes in suprise ''W-well I..'' she paused ''Yes of course!'' she smiled, shaking her head as if she had no idea what to say. She looked at him and a rush of warmth spread through her ''Thank you!'' she laughed softly ''When is it again?'' she asked him, bending one leg slightly as she fidgeted nervously.

"Anytime. It's going on now isn't it? Why don't we go as a group? Who are you guys anyway? Abigail would freak if we just showed up and I didn't even know your names." he laughed, taking Kate's hand. He kissed her on the cheek.

Kate lost her breath, she gulped and swayed on the spot nervously. ''I don't look like I'm going to a dance'' she smiled nervously ''I could go and put on a dress or something?'' she bit her lip, too nervous to say anything else.

"Sure, sure. I'd like to get ready to? How about we all meet there? I'm sure Abigail will welcome us warmly! I'll see you there in an hour." he said to Kate, kissing her hand, and leaving the room politely.

she quckly ran to the corner behind a couch and sat holding her knees
she let tears flow down her cheeks

but sapphire was pretty and really skinny to

Kate blushed as she ran up the stairs of the dormitory. She decided she would head straight there after getting ready.

Dynastelle glanced up, her cheeks reddening slightly. well, they are really super good-loking...

Chilton glanced one more time at Emelon and started off towards the library

Shrugging they hopped down from the couch again. "Might aswell go and meet the,." Ash commented.
"Meet you down here in an hour." Rhode said, turning on his heel and heading up to his dormitory.

Dynastelle stood up halfway, wondering if she should shy away to the dorm or walk up to the guys. Chilton remembered his book and walked back in, getting it off the couch and glancing at Emelon.

Roxanne skipped into the common room and plopped down in front of the fire

Swaroop entered the Gryffindor common room after many days.Now that he had a separate Head Boy dorm, he rarely visited the common room.He remembered the old days when there were lots of parties here whenever Gryffindor won Quidditch or when some boy proposed a girl.He just smiled remembering those days.

Josie walked into the common room and sat down near the fire. Aaronfollowed her in and sat a little ways away from her.

Ella strolled nervously into the common room. With her best friend gone, there wasn't anyone to talk to, so she kept going up to the girls dorm, returning a few minutes later with a bag and her tabby cat, and strolled into the hall.

"Hello," Aaron said cheerfully. Josie hadn't even noticed the girl had come in,she was so entangled in her reading.

Up untill now, I've been really tight with my best friend, Peris, but he moved to America, so" she put her hands up and shrugged "everything feels kind of out-of place" dang it, she was rambling again, why would these people care about Peris?

"Let's go!" he said, bouncing again, not being able to control his hyperactivity.
