lol

I absolutely agree with you or maybe they dont have anything better to do ;)

I think most people hate it because of social pressure. Like most things.

BUT, after the movie came out and the fandom started getting crazy, a lot of people were just kinda pissed off. including me. I HATED the movie. I just... ugh! The movie just kinda ruined the series for me. I remember being all excited for the first movie (Twilight) to come out. But after watching that, i didn't even bother watching the succeeding three movies anymore.

I don't know why everyone lets it get to them so much!
Besides, the hype IS dying down now, don't you think?
And I've heard a lot of people think that 'sparkling vampires' is an insult to your more traditional vampire.
Like Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' for example.
I for one, like the idea. Meyer stayed true to 'the rules' by not letting her vampires come out in SUNlight.
I believe Meyer brought something new to the table when she wrote Twilight.
Because who really wants to read about the same old vampire(s) over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
She brought something new to this generation and she must be doing something right, as she's currently sitting on a mountain of millions due to her success of writing!

no, that's because the movies destroyed the books... :/

you prefer the movies to the books? OMG...

This is the exact reason my step-daughter gives for not like the books anymore. Granted, that is a bit lame since she also went 6 months trying to look like Alice from the first movie. =)

The others were tolerable."
totally agree w/ you... What the heck was the first movie? an error? was the director drunk the whole movie? LOL

Yeah I gree Chetna and Missyb. It was repetitive and the first movie was a little cheesy.

I totally disagree Patrick. The books are really good.

I completely respect and appreciate your opinion. The books are a "guilty pleasure" of mine. I definitely enjoy the books, but, at the same time, I recognize that there is a difference between a book being enjoyable and a book being well-written.
Plus, like I said, I can't imagine a parent that would be okay with their daughter defining themselves by the guy they're with. Especially to the point of being unable to function without him (I.E. New Moon).

I think that you' re right. I think that those book' s are too predictable. In first book it was easy to guess the end. I think that the twilight series shuold' ve end at two books max. Peapole hate them becose they know how it will end.

It's not the writing style, it's what the writing contained.

Bella's weakness is one of the main problems but that has..."
Wonderful analysis.

1. There is WAY too much romance!
2. A human girl falls in love with a vampire with the ability to read minds? That's just stupid.
3. There's that love triangle where Bella's in love with Jacob and Edward and she can't choose who she'd rather be with. I'd pick Jacob! lol.
But to be fair, I didn't actually hate this book. It wasn't too bad.
Personally, I gthink it is because of what a weak female lead Bella is. It shows that if guys are bossy in a relationship, everything will work out perfectly. And, it also tells girls that the most important thing in life is to have a boyfriend, and I dont think that is the right message to be portraying to teens and children.

VAMPIRES AND WEREWOLVES SOUND STUPID!!!!"
Yeah they should have brought in the tributes...katniss could have taken all of the sparkly vampires and the overly large dogs:)
Well I would think because, too many people fell head over heels for it. Also not everyone is into the Vampire/Werewolf/Human thing. I personally ♥ Twilight, not so much the movies but the books. With this being said I have nothing against the movies, since I do own all of them :D

Its poorly written, poorly plotted and teaches wrong, weird morals.
Thats why.
