Yup, I need some new books to try. I already have some samples downloaded thanks to the "what's the best thing you've read this year" posts, so I thought I'd start a new thread just for recommendations.

Whatcha got? ;)

message 15: by Lynxie (new)

Lynxie Currently reading No Rules Of Engagement by Thomas Wilson as part of a Read it and Review challenge in one of my groups.

It reminds me a lot of Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. So far, it's interesting... a few editing errors though.

message 16: by Khaalidah (new)

Khaalidah Muhammad-Ali What are your favorite genres?
Do you prefer slow and moving or quick and easy or something in the middle?

message 17: by Khaalidah (new)

Khaalidah Muhammad-Ali I really liked Asimov's Currents of Space.
There is also Hosseini's Kite Runner.
The Ender Series by Scott Card is pretty phenomenal.

And how is the SCottish Prisoner?? I loved the Outlander series, but the last one and the Lord John series are less interesting, in my opinion. Have you already given a look to this one?

Jodie | 4 comments I decided that since the Movie was coming out that I should revisit The Hobbit again. I read it when I was 9 or 10. I think I am enjoying it now, at 40, as much as I did then. Maybe more. Is that sad?

Jodie, the Hobbit is for all ages!

I have to admit I actually enjoyed it a lot more than the LotR trilogy. What can I say? I like adventures to be fast paced. :D

message 21: by Lynxie (new)

Lynxie I enjoyed The List by J.A. Konrath
