I use the term 'see' loosely of course!

We've got a strong line up of books in queue already, taking us into February for new shows! We wouldn't be much of a podcast without you listeners though, so we'd definitely like to take your thoughts into account!

Have a book you'd like to hear us talk about, post it up!

Tracey | 12 comments I really enjoyed The Dervish House if you're looking for near-future SF set in a non-Western culture (Turkey)

Laurie (barksbooks) (barklesswagmore) How about Meat?

Horror Bookworm Reviews | 11 comments I heard Zone One by Colson Whitehead was something special.

Mike, you'll have to go read the other new thread, Zone One's already on the schedule!

Bark, I've got a review copy of Meat I haven't made it to as of yet. I'll definitely check it out!

Laurie (barksbooks) (barklesswagmore) Meat is deeply disturbing. I'd be very interested to listen to your take on it.

Chris Eisenhower | 2 comments An episode on Ender's Game would be interesting. I admit I have yet to read any of the Ender's books (I will be starting Ender's Game in December) but from what my friend has told me, it's surely worth checking out.

I've read the first 2 - "Ender's Game" is fantastic & "Speaker for the Dead" was also good - have heard the series goes downhill from there.

Ender's Game was really good, as was Speaker for the Dead and Ender's Shadow. I just couldn't get into Xenocide. And I had no interest in reading any further into the "Shadows" branch of the series.

Like Tracy, I've heard that the series gets weaker the further along you go.

Brian Lassiter (belassiter) | 6 comments Good stand alone books to cover would include: Starship Troopers, Brave New World (much better than 1984 IMO), Flowers for Algernon, Dune, and Snow Crash.

As for series: A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) books, the Harry Dresden novels, and The Sandman comic series.

I need to finish up on the Sandman series, and they are excellent. I've only read up to volume 5, those were the first trades i ever bought.

It's a shame that there is still a stigma attached to reading comics. There are some really good stories to be found in the medium. The Sandman series is a prime example of that.

Ed Wilcox | 2 comments How about some King, maybe the stand or salem's lot.

Gilbert | 1 comments How about some Edward Lee , Lucifers lottery or The Black Train both very interesting reads

Meatmen | 1 comments New guy here. I'd like to recommend God's Demon. It was written by an art director for G. Del Toro and was inspired by artwork he was doing based on Paradise Lost.

Hey Meat! I haven't heard of God's Demon, looks pretty interesting though! I've got it added to the list!

Gilbert, I've only read one Edward Lee book before, can't recall which one it was. We could definitely use some horror in the line up, I'll check 'em out!

Zombieman | 2 comments Hey Everyone - I am loving this new podcast. All of the suggestions have been great, so I wanted to recommend one for all of you. I had the pleasure of meeting Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails many years ago when I wrote for a music magazine in Detroit. Since I am such an avid reader, I asked him what his favorite book was and he told me the Christ Clone Trilogy. I immediately went and bought the trilogy of books and read them in one weekend! They are, by far, my favorite books of all time (imagine the Davinci Code cranked up to 100, with supernatural elements). The scary thing is that many of the things in this book are now happening all around us. I will say that if you start with book 1 "In His Image" you have to read the whole series. It takes so many twists and turns and the ending is not what one would expect. Anyway, maybe Casey will consider doing the first one on the podcast.

Cheers and Happy New Year!

Hey Zombieman, glad you're loving the show!

Those Christ Clone books, I've not heard of them, but they sound pretty great! I'll check them out!
