So, I started like, the first page of Fellowship of the Ring, and I actually am already drawn into this book and it was only a poem!
I want to read Lord Of the Rings because I love the movies. But since I have seen the movies I know what happens so reading the book doesn't seem as exciting.
oh no! Poor thing! How about reading a really short book that you can read a few pages of each night just to keep you in the habbit? *sends virtual hug* I know the feeling of not being able to read. It hurts doesn't it? Like being lost!
I tried reading The Hobbit when I was 11 or 12 and couldn't get into it. 11 years later and I haven't tried to read it again since. Im determined to one day though. There are just more pressing books to read first.
yeah I understand what you mean. I got the Hobbit when I was 12 and only read it in January, 5 years later!
I FINALLY finished the last book in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy and now reading Crown of Midnight, the 2nd book in the Throne of Glass Trilogy :)
So I finished Insurgent and I'm 150 pages into Allegiant and all I'm gunna say is that Veronica Roth is pure genius. It was something like I suspected, but so much more genius. I just don't want to get to the end so I don't have to deal with that "shock" that everyone talks about. Then again, I watched the finale of How I Met Your Mother last night and I didn't hate it like most people, do I guess we'll see how I go.
Good luck Jamie! And I'm glad you are liking it. I loved it too, but there are people who didn't like it. But I think they get caught up in the characters rather than the story.
I am still reading Lord of the Rings, although I should have more time to finish it now. :D

Dru was way too serious for my taste. And she thought too much.So I didn't finish it.
I actually read The Course of True Love(Bane chronicles) two weeks ago.So short but perfect.
When I was reading Lord of the Rings I read it for two or three months! But everything got exciting in The Return of the King and I finished it in two days.
I'm glad you have more time to get though LotR. I'll get around to it eventually :p I need to re-read Gameboard of the Gods before the end of the month and re-read the Bloodlines series before the end of July for the new releases. I also need to read TFIOS before the film is released here. I just wish I had more time for recreational Reading, as well as all the other things I want to do :(
I just finished reading TFIOS. I had known before reading this book that Augustus Waters dies, so I had told myself that I am not going to read a book where the main character dies. I mean it would be such a sad book. So I just ignored the book while other's around me gushed about how amazing this book was.But then I saw that trailer and I was like shit I need to see this movie. At that let me tell you I didn't not know that is not releasing in India (I live in India). But anyways so I was oblivious to this fact and I thought that if I want to watch the movie I have to first read the book. So I bought it and finally today read it.
I knew Augustus dies so I thought I might be better prepared but I was wrong. I cried and kept wishing that maybe he survives, that what I had heard was a joke. But it wasn't.
But I was really glad to have read this book!! Hopefully I will watch the movie online :)
YEP! NOW YOU KNOW ABOUT THE FEELS!!!!
(But I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's so funny before it gets sad and soooo cute!)
aw that sucks it doesn't come out in India. :(
I condone the watching online for you because it's not in your country. :)

Yeah I'll have to do that, but even then i'll have to wait till the movie releases everywhere and then probably another month or so if I need a clear rip of the film. Ugh!! this is so frustrating!!
nope....but I just got Fangirl!
:D yay! First one in the library to read it.... although that's not anything new. XD

and yet I'm still halfway through Lord of the Rings. Taken me a week so far so I think it'll be a two week read? Wow,I never take that long to read a book! :O
Don't tell me that!!! Hahaha. I probably won't get another chance to read it until my train trip next Tuesday (lol) so maybe I should pack some tissues, just in case? I should be able to read another 100 or so pages then aswell. In other news, I'm feeling extra behind in the Bloodlines series now that Richelle had released the first chapter excerpt for Silver Shadows. I haven't even read The Fiery Heart yet and I don't really remember the previous books well :/
By the end of this month, I would have love to have finished Allegiant, re-read Gameboard of the Gods (seeing as the next one comes out on the 29th), and read The Fault In Our Stars. At least. All of my major assignments will have been completed and submitted two weeks from tomorrow (Thursday) so I'll have about a week to read recreationally before I'll have to start studying for my end of semester exams.
yes you should pack tissues for that day.
oh god, I know right? Such a busy two months!
You have time to read The Fiery Heart before the end of July, so yes catch up on GOG and TFIOS.

I'm now reading
and I want to re-read TMI before heavenly fire is released, but I also have to read some books for school so I don't know if I can do it. I also want to re-read bloodlines, tgl, tis and tfh before silver shadows is released.

I've read Attachments and LOVED it! So I definitely recommend that one.
@ Renée: You need to read Fangirl!! That is sooo good! It's one of my favorite books.
I'm currently waiting on Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor to arrive so I can read it. Can't wait!
I know, but I'm STILL reading Lord of the Rings. Going to go read it now, see if I can get a little further through.
