Lucy (vintagequeen) | 35 comments :D I like to watch the movie first so when I read the book I am not disappointed with the movie and are more amazed with the book.

yeah, well, I like to know the story and kind of respect where the story came from before I see the movie and otherwise it feels like I'm cheating the author.

message 1003: by Lucy (new)

Lucy (vintagequeen) | 35 comments Fair enough, I only do it with some movies anyway.

Haha, you should read it! It's so good! Once you have time to get another Sarah Dessen book, get Along for the Ride! It's a bit like The Truth About Forever, but really good!

Angelica Gardner (angelica23) Just finished: Vampire Academy and now starting: Frostbite. I reread the first book after having read it a few years back. Now, I'm just excited to get back into the series. :)

Angelica, I'm re-Reading the series as well! I'm currently 60% through Shadow Kiss. I am WAY too excited about the film for my own good. Lol.

message 1019: by Marrie (last edited Oct 04, 2013 11:32AM) (new)

Marrie finished Forest Born (The Books of Bayern, #4) by Shannon Hale which was a great end to the series. I loved the protagonist. Probably going to reread The Mark of Athena (The Heroes of Olympus, #3) by Rick Riordan since House of Hades comes out on Tuesday.

message 1020: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 39 comments Just finished Shadiw Kiss and SO close to bawling my eyes out. I just need to keep thinking about what happens later and ill be able to get through this...I hope.

message 1021: by Marrie (new)

Marrie That's the book that has the most feels. Also, my favorite book xD

message 1022: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 39 comments IKR!? I've started Blood Promise, but I know that it gets a lot worse before it gets better. It's just awesome recognising characters straight away, like Adrian, Sydney and Abe. Mmmmm Adrian. Yum!

Haha, yes. Adrian is amazing. Blood Promise is my least favorite book, but I loved Abe, Sydney, and of course Adrian. And the subtle Sydrian beginnings in book 5 are one of my favorite things.

EEEE :D!!!! SYDRIAN BEGINNINGS!!! that page always makes me fangirl! XD

I'm reading The Raven Boys and I jsut finished An Abundance of Katherines by John Green.

message 1025: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Reading Delirium right now. So far it's really good! Only on page 45 though

ooh I have to re-read that. :D

message 1027: by Marrie (new)

Marrie I thought it was good until the last book, which ruined the rest of the series for me.

message 1028: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) That's part of the reason I haven't read Insurgent yet. Everyone keeps telling me that it kinda ruins the first book. That and no time. I really liked Divergent though so I don't want to not like it or something. I will end up reading Insurgent before Allegiant comes out, though.

Athena Ivashkova ~♥~ | 26 comments The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

Wish me luck, people. It's chosen for my book-club and I plan on watching the movie, too.

message 1030: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Ooh, I've been wanting to read that for a while and never had the chance, tell me how it goes please? I've heard it's very good.

message 1031: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Oh, and good luck! ;)

Athena Ivashkova ~♥~ | 26 comments I just got the book yesterday, and I haven't started yet. Kind of scared, tbh. But yes, I'll tell you my opnions afterward :D

And thanks!

message 1033: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) :) I've been told to read it, but no time.

message 1034: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 39 comments I want to read Divergent, Insurgent, and the Book Thief but I have to get through 5 more books first. I just finished Blood Promise and just cried. People who have read it will know the part. And now I know I need to finish the series ASAP because I know it has a happy ending.

message 1035: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) I've read Divergent, but not Insurgent yet. And I have 4 books sitting in my house right now that I need to read ASAP because they'll be due back to the library soon.... And I have almost no time :(

The ending was great, but Rose was a tad insensitive. But everything happens for a reason, and you'll find out sooner than later. :D And I'm only waiting to read Insurgent. But like Andra said, no time. :(

message 1037: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) It's a sad, sad time when one barely has time even for reading :'(

I thought Divergent was wayyyy better than Insurgent, but Insurgent was okay. The ending was what made it really good.

message 1039: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) I'll keep that in mind. It's next on my to read list. After the four books I have at home that I need to finish.

That's what I've heard as well. Maybe Allegiant (Divergent, #3) by Veronica Roth can redeem the action-packed trilogy everyone craved for?

Yeah, I hope so. Maybe Insurgent was just a filler book. Either way, I'm still excited for Allegiant just because of Insurgent's ending.

Marrie Andra wrote: "I'll keep that in mind. It's next on my to read list. After the four books I have at home that I need to finish."

I have like twenty books at home that I have to read, two of which are library books due back any day now. So don't feel bad XD

Athena Ivashkova ~♥~ | 26 comments Yup, they're quite a few books that are coming up this year now, and I told my librarian to get them and to let me be the first to get them because I was the first to request. I irkes me when I get a book on the day it's released and they're people ahead of me. -_-

message 1044: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) I tried to get The Dream Thieves on hold at my library maybe a day before it came out, and they said they hadn't ordered it yet so they couldn't do anything about it! I'm just trying to call dibs on first read! Is there something wrong with that?!

Have to go, talk to you later!

Thi si funny, all these books that people are talking about reading I'm reading too! I'm reading Raven Boys because I'm going to go back to school and get The Dream Theives from the library and I have Divergent to read after Raven Boys so I can get Insurgent once I get back to school too. :D

And I have to read Delirium again so I can finish that trilogy too.

message 1047: by Marrie (new)

Marrie Finished The House of Hades (The Heroes of Olympus, #4) by Rick Riordan and now I have to wait another year for the next book! :(
