The first 5 books in that series were great but now they're just over doing it if you ask me. I mean, 12 books?!?! REALLY?! They could sum up the idea in just six at most. She's dragging it out for money. Sorry for the rant lol. Hope you like it better than I did!

message 756: by Kat (new)

Kat (kitty_kat_kit) | 1400 comments Sadly I read what some of the later books are about and found about how Nefer is evil! Ugh that makes me sad because I love her! I actually just finished the first one about 30 minutes ago so I am on the second!

message 757: by Marrie (new)

Marrie God, you read fast! I'm sorry you read a spoiler :/
I hate it when that happens. I was really bummed at first too because I liked her in the first book. But whatever. You get over it by the third book, trust me.

message 758: by Kat (new)

Kat (kitty_kat_kit) | 1400 comments Yeah I hope so! She's just the last person I expected to be evil! Ugh I need to stop reading the description for books later in series! They always spoil stuff!

message 759: by Marrie (new)

Marrie Yeah, they do. You better not read anymore descriptions! xD

message 760: by Kat (new)

Kat (kitty_kat_kit) | 1400 comments I won't I swear I will like banned myself from it or something. Unless it read the book before it!

The originals were pretty good in my opinion.

message 780: by Sue (new)

Sue | 68 comments I read the first 6 ones and I think they are just overdoing it. There is too much fantasy and too many creatures...
It was already enough when they visited the world between the world or something!

Marrie Susanne wrote: "OMG I hated the Vampire Diareas books! Did you really liked them?"

I didn't hate the first four, but the new ones are pretty bad. I think it's because they dropped the original author and had a ghost author take her spot. But Elena does annoy me.. like a lot. Damon was a pretty cool character though, and I loved Bonnie and Meredith.

Susanne wrote: "OMG I hated the Vampire Diareas books! Did you really liked them?"

yeah I actually do, although it's more fantasy than paranormal romance like the tv show.
I love fantasy. THey aren't the best, I know, but the ideas and stuff are okay. It's not a bad book series, but it's not the best either, maybe about a 3 out of 5 stars. Although The first two of the second sereis was good!

message 784: by Sue (new)

Sue | 68 comments Yes the first ones were okay but I think they just overreacted, there was too much fantasy. I love fantasy too but it was just too much of it.

I LOVE FANTASY!!!! I live in fantasy...but everyone tells me it's not real. *sad face*

*sings* "Do you believe in magic?"

message 787: by Sharon (new)

Sharon (sparklefreevampires) | 253 comments I do, I mean in all the books, no-one knows about all the magical stuff going on around them right? What if we're those people? Like there might be people fighting demons and evil vampires right this very second and we would be totally ignorant of it? I mean where might have people gotten the ideas for stories about vampires and werewolves and all that? Did it just pop into someone's mind one day that there might be evil blood sucking things out there??? I reckon the people who talk scientific stuff about how none of this is real are like alchemists who try to keep us humans ignorant of all this stuff going on around us...
You never know right?! :)

message 788: by Sue (new)

Sue | 68 comments I believe in magic too but these books were just tooooo much!! I really think that there might be vampires or other creatures out there but we have to keep calm I mean I don't think that there is another world between the world of the dead and ours, that would be just crazy!

message 789: by Marrie (new)

When I read those books I thought they were really good, but then they just go on for such a long time by the 6th book, P.C Cast should have stopped at book 3 :p

Well, I think they're amazing. It's a really original idea about life and death and light and dark. It's all about how it's not as clear cut as you mgith think and it's all angels and history or stuff and romance and there's the hottest bad boy guy.
And the author Jess Shirvington, is Australian! yay! She's an amazing author and she just released another book called Between the Lives which I'm about to start. :D
