er- sorry if that last bit I posted is confusing- what I meant is that: My wife checked on the actress who plays Rosalee (sp?), and my wife found out that the actress just had a baby. Hence, she was unavailable for filming.

Okay, I also see your point about Nick. True, he should realize that she was affected by the curse. My problem is that I never really liked Juliette to begin with. Although, she is growning on me this season,lol.
I think that was the first time I've ever seen a show seemingly sympathize with its audience by apologizing for the cliffhanger lol.

I've been waiting all February to see new Grimm episodes. I was a bit disappointed to find out that there will not be a new Grimm before March. Oh well, March 8th will be here soon enough.
I've fallen behind I need to catch up with y'all.
Only just started watching Grimm and so far... not overly impressed. Every episode seems the same, just with a different animal based monster. First wolves, then bears, bees, goat, rats etc. A crime is committed, Nick sees one of the creatures, he goes to his werewolf friend for help, his partner wonders where he's gettin his info, they solve the crime and all is well!Does it improve at some point? Else I don't think i'll be buying season 2.
I love Grimm, but I'm not overly fond of the exra long break they've taken mid-season. I can't wait for it to come back on!
Okay, I've decided my favorite character on Grimm is Monroe. He's not the most handsome guy, but something about him is very appealing. Though, I do prefer the human face to the Big Bad Wolf face. :) I also think he and Rosalee make an awesome couple.

I agree! I think he steals the show. He's not as easy on the eyes as Nick, but he's got a great personality. For some reason, I though Monroe and Rosalee didn't have the chemistry I'd hoped for, but this season they seem better.

Maybe it's because the main relationship of Nick and Juliette has splintered thus adding more focus to the romantic interactions of the secondary Monroe and Rosalee love story. Just a thought, but I would be quite dismayed if they broke up, which usually happens on shows. Can't have that happily ever after even on a show about fairy tales. Ha!

There is much more of an overarching plot line once you get past the "meet the creature of the week" episodes.

I agree! At first, the show was kind of like CSI with monsters. I really prefer the overarching plot, too.
I've loved watching Grimm develop! *POSSIBLE SPOILERS*They've really developed the world from the initial "Nick and Hank solve evil Wessen case" and I love the core group of characters, especially the sexy Captain Renard and the awesome Rosalee :) I like how they've expanded the Wessen storyline out to Europe. However, it sometimes feels like everyone in Portland must be Wessen, what with every single perpetrator turning out to have a "beast within." Love the old legend quotes at the beginning of each episode, too.
Its a very good hour of television with fantasy and crime fiction involved. I like it a lot.

I think- based on the number of monsters who can spit/ squirt/breath out fire/ acid/ chemicals/ drugs/ or eye-ball-eating-worms, Nick should probably get himself a serious hockey mask. That's what I would have done....
Gotta be honest the season finale was a bit weak.... Spoiler.........that was such an obvious trap and he just walked right into it
Yes, Nick needs to get in better touch with his Grimmness. He is learning and improving. I like that Nick has a good support system ( kind of like Buffy had).
Ok, I'm a huge fan of Grimm and loved the whole voodoo/zombie story line. But I said the same thing to my husband, where was Nick's Grimm issued safety goggles. I mean he walked right into it. LOL. Can't wait til new season starts and we see what the royal family has planned.

I watched. I still do not like the actress that play julia. I feel like she just isn't very good and I still feel zero chemistry between her and Nick. THe males on this show have more chemistry together than the love relationships. NOt sure why that is...I still like this show a lot and am glad I hung in there with it.

For the first time ever, I was rooting for Juliette last Friday. She finally showed some fighting spirit, lol. Generally, though, I agree with you.
I was so loving Grimm, but it hasn't grabbed me this season. I'm not sure what's putting me off. I adored the campiness of the first season. This season has been very yawn for me so far.

I quit recording them - the yawn factor (and disappointment factor) was simply too much. I have very very few shows that I watch any longer. Just too stupid, dull, or yawn worthy!

I actually like this season of Grimm. The bit with Monroe's parents is priceless!
In the first season Monroe was so funny, such a great character, and then someone decided he should be toned down. What a sad waste of talent.

Agreed. Maybe the writers become exhausted or the networks bring in new writers who can't mesh with the world/characters. And God, Haven fell off for me, too. I don't think I'll be tuning in for that anymore. It was excellent for awhile before it fell off the rails, though.

I'm trying to raise my enthusiasm again, but I'm just not feeling it so far. I feel like they didn't have a second season fleshed out, and when it was picked up for another run, they blew through what they had. It feels like they're winging to me now. Maybe I'll feel the pulse again as the season progresses. I hope so. I loved the first season.

Monroe was really the second Main character on the show in S1, and then in S2 he was cut back to merely being one of the Scoobie Gang.

I do like that Hank was promoted to first tier, though. I'm just not crazy about the female characters in the show.
I like it fine now that Juliette is no longer in the dark. That got old. I like that Rosalee has skills and insights to share with the Scooby Gang, that are different from Monroe's.I kinda loved last week's episode (view spoiler)

I just started back at episode one because I have missed so much. It is starting to get nice out, so I will be outside every minute of the day I can, but I am looking forward to watching them on Netflix one after the other to see how it develops and changes. I have missed watching!

I love the new character. I hope she stays for awhile. Adds a new dynamic to the show. I am not entirely sure I trust her though. I also think she kicks butt more than Nick

Its a silly name though in many ways it only a shortened version of her full name. However it would be awkward to use in public "come over here Trouble and help us?" They really need her in the show now or it would be the Grimm-less show and she's a good addition to the cast I think.
I was annoyed by the finale though. It seems like we will be going though a Nick version of what happened with Adelind (deja vu anyone?). I hope they don't drag it out too long like they did Juliette's memory loss or Adelind's power recovery. I'm also annoyed how they simply just dropped the zombie after effects as they looked like they could lead interesting places.
They didn't drop the zombie effects for example when the verat attacked the captains apartment nick used his zombie hearing to hear the guys coming up the stairs.
here is my theory as to why Nick is being stupid: He knows that Juliette was affected by a curse (as Monroe pointed out) but he discounts that in his equations... Also, there was that weird stunted conversation where he approached her and told her that there were mysterious things that he "couldn't tell her about..." Which is not a great thing to do:
N:"Hi- There's some really important stuff going on!"
J: "Really? What is it?"
N: "Well, I can't tell you."
Why bring it up then?

In regard to Rosalee (Monroe GF), my wife (who likes checking on actors via twitter and IMBD) let me know that the actress who plays her just a had a baby- hence she hasn't been available for the show.
