Suggestions:Dark Librarians
Searcher-Seekers
Dark Hunters
Finders-Keepers
Treasure Hunt Babes
ps. My suggestions sound corny to me....What is it with me and Darkness??? Maybe because that is when I read???
Someone come up with a good name before I embarrass myself! LOL
I like finders keeper's. And who doesn't love a dark hunter...Let me think I'll come up with a few more.
Dark Book HuntersBabes with Books
Sizziling Story Scavengers
Red Hot Readers
Sisterhood of the Scavenging Books
Hey everyone!@ Katya: Your own suggestions always sound corny to your own ears...it's like 'the way of the world'! (I rarely like anything I suggest.) The suggestions so far are very creative, good job guys. :)
I like Finders-Keepers too, as well as Sizzling Story Scavengers and Sisterhood of the Scavenging Books. Fun!

yeah...you are right! but Sizzling Story Scavengers is good! SSS
Is it only me or is that "body part" up on that list bothering you too? finding an appropriate book is what I'm worried about. Would a head count? lol And for a name? hmmmmmm.....
I think for body part the easiest way to go would be an image on the cover, eyes, torso, hand. I think we just need one, you don't have to do image, title, and in the book; just one of the three.
The words 'Back' and 'Hand' are actually used quite a bit in book titles. The cover pic will still most likely be easiest, but we may be pleasantly surprised whent he time comes. :)
OK, I've invited all you peeps that weren't already friends of mine to come over to the dark side. ;PI'm really looking forward to this!

oohhh now there is a great name...The Dark Side!
Well I was leaning toward Sizzling Story Scavengers, but I was spying on the other team thread and they are leaning toward Sassy Scavengers. I think they are too close if that is what they go with. Should we have a team vote?
Also we should be looking for a team leader. If no one else wants it I will do it. If someone else wants it I am completely ok letting someone else take charge and I will come up with cute songs to cheer us on from the back ground.

I am cool with you being our leader Dawn....I nominate you!
I Like the dark side too! Waa ha ha ha ha.

We'll have to find a logo that says we have books.
Totally...'Dawn for President!' Go Dawn, WHOO-HOOOO!!!! Yeah...oh, huh? What? Team leader? oh, (erhm...cough)
Yeah! 'Dawn for Team Leader!' ;P
This scavenger hunt business was totally your idea anyway right? You are the expert baby!
The Dark Side is cool too. And easy for me to remember since that would make my address and the team name the same. ;)Corny Joke Alert (whoop, whoop, wooo-hooooo, wooo-hooo!)
Do ya know which side of a book is the dark side?
Wait for it.....
Wait for it......
The INSIDE!
Awwwwww, ba-dump-ching!
I LOVE the Dark Side! Brilliant! *Pun intended*I also love that "DARK" includes all of our first initials.
I hadn't noticed the initials thing...swweEEET! Sounds like we are on 'The Dark Side' thing and that Dawn is our illustrious leader. Go us!
All in favor of my leadership (don't worry you won't hurt my feelings if you say nay)and the team name The Dark Side say aye. Aye
Can we offer suggestions to others on the team? I mean it is a team challenge isn't it? We can help each other find books to match the item?
Definitely! I was planning to offer up suggestions once we knew what our item was for the week. I have already peeked at everyone's shelves. I love that our thread now says The Dark Side!

Awesome....I am really excited to see what we will be reading. I am going to be going into work shortly so I may not post much more until later tonight. grrrrr.
Since we had voted unanimously for 'The Dark Side' I thought that I would change it. It looks great, eh? ;)I have a few questions about play so I am going to check the FAQ and come back and pick your brains if I can't find the answer there. Later!
OK, can't find the answer to this, which means it is right in front of me, BUT...So we aren't needing to look for other items on the list, we just read a book that matches the topic listed for the week? i.e., if today's topic is 'shifters' and I read a shifter book that will only count for one point?
OR, if I read a 'shifter' book that also has a 'lone female' on the cover and where the cover is 'purple' and the book is a 'urban fantasy' do we get 4 points for the book I read? Is that the objective? to read a book that fits the current weeks category but that ALSO fits into other categories so that we get as many points possible?
Also, if people want to start throwing out 'boarding school' suggestions now, it would be appreciated. This is not a category that I have recorded in the past, nor is my brain jumping around with possibilities.Ilona Andrews books have a girl as Kate's ward who goes to a boarding school but I just finished reading all those. So my entire 'boarding school' list is a gone. :)

My understanding is one book/point per week. I may be wrong. So if you found a shifter-lone female-purple book this week it would only count for the shifter. Then whenever the lone female rolled around you would have to find a different book, it wouldn't count again. Each person needs 15 different books over 15 weeks.
The game could go a lot faster if we could double up or find items as we read.
I posted similar over in the FAQ's but Lizz hasn't posted since, so I might be wrong.
I don't keep track of boarding schools either but Here are a few from my YA shelf that I know went to bording schools. Harry Potter Series
The Goddess Test
Hex Hall
Fallen
Jane Eyre, mentions a boarding school
City of Bones, has kind of a boarding school, the kids live there and have a tutor there.
Listopia also has a list of Boarding School Stories

Thanks for this! It is definately a help and the fact that GR has a list?...even better. :)

OK, I'm going to post on this too and ask Lizz what the scoop is. I'm thinking the point system would be more fun.
Chloe Neill has a boarding school series; it's LOVELY:
Don't forget about House of Night - PC Cast:
Estep's Mythos Academy is good, too:
Evernight is a good one, too:
I bet these would count, too:
Since I'm a YA junkie, I'm sure I'll find more.
Divergent has a boarding school? Oh, sweet! This is on my to-read ASAP list. :) I also have Marked in a challenge so that is a help. Thanks guys!
(My team is awesome and we haven't even started playing yet!)
