If you could choose what J.K. Rowling would write for a next book, what would it be?

I'd love Jo to write Voldemorts birth and family history till the day he try's to kill Harry. Perhaps do a Gay love story of Dumbledore and his Deathly Hallows obsessed lover. I think that be awesome. Yea I know a lot of people say Lily and James but ehh...

The Marauders. That tiny little prequel was pretty cool. If all else fails... I want to read Hogwarts, A History!!!

I think she should like I am # 4 did. Like the lost files, but instead the lost, um... spell books??? anyway, like 2 books about Ron and Hermione growing up before they were 11, i would say harry too, but we know... lol....

I´d like to know more about the Blacks and thei family story, and Teddy Lupin and Andromeda.

I would surely like to know about James Potter's( Harry's son !)adventures at Hogwarts !!!!!!!! after knowing his father is all famous .......you know !!!!

Maybe Harry's childrens life or maybe of sirus black? That would be Cool. Just about the backstory of everyone.
I'm just waiting for an encyclopedia. There are so many questions about characters that people want answered.

That would be awesome!
Personally I would love to hear the story of James, Lily, Severus, Sirus, etc from their time at Hogwarts up until the end of the first wizarding war (which of course ended with the deaths of James and Lily.) I would also like to see a book telling about the happenings after the second wizarding war as the epilogue to Deathly Hallows left much to be imagined. It would be nice to know what went on with all of the characters leading up to the snippet of future that we get from the epilogue. Did Hermoine ever go find her parents and reverse the spell she cast on them, what exactly happened to the Dursleys (you know you want to know) all of that kind of stuff. Of course then I would want a chronicle of the next generation at Hogwarts too. I could keep reading these for ages. My three kids are addicted to Harry Potter and actually want to read the books all over again now.

I would either want to read about Harry's parents' generation and the first wizarding war or the story of the four founders and the beginning of Hogwarts.

Yeah, the beginning of Hogwarts would be really cool!

I would want her to write about Jame's and Lily's time at Hogwarts.

Honestly we all know the original "Harry Potter" is the best and will always be the best. So I never thought about this type of question, if I wanted a book I would want to hear about James, Lily's, and Snape's times in Hogwarts!

NOTHING ABOUT HARRY POTTER. That story was great and is finished. She can't milk it, and I wouldn't want her to. I hope to see more adult fiction from her, and that political "animal farm-esque" book she promised.
would like to see things AFTER HARRY , like scorose, etc...i don't mind the same series as a sequel coz there almost no other books about magic except rowling's.

I wouldn't particularly like her to milk it as much as I would love to see her write more about that world, if that makes sense. Maybe a one off about the Marauders? For World Book Day or something :)

It could be the love story of James and Lily Potter. The story could be written from her POV, being a muggle-born and all. Her friendship with Snape and stuff. :)

Sam wrote: "It could be the love story of James and Lily Potter. The story could be written from her POV, being a muggle-born and all. Her friendship with Snape and stuff. :)"yes. I like this.

I love that idea, but I also think it would be good to write about the 4 founders of Hogwarts, and what it was like for the very first students.
Jo would should write this: Voldemort turns into a ghost (Why wouldn't he- Even though the other ghosts say its bad being a ghost, Voldemort has plenty of reasons to be one.) So Harry, Hermione,Ron, and this time Ginny of course have to figure out how to eliminate a ghost from the world, which sends them on this huge adventure. Meanwhile, we learn to love their kids but we cry because two or three of them somehow die (May I suggest their new headmaster being cruler than Snape without Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione knowing.)while Harry, Ginny, Hermione, and Ron are all away. And then we cry ourselves silly when Hermione dies in another epic battle between bad and good. And if Jo were to not write something in the Harry Potter world, I would say twisted fairytales. (Like Adam Gidwitz twisted. (He's a good read author- You can look him up.))
I would love it if she wrote her version of James Potter II series. While G. Norman Lippert wrote his own version and was good at it, technically it's not canon as J.K. didn't write it.

Prob harry kids or early years of Lilly potter and snape as they were childhood friends. And jk own words of James potter.

A story from Draco's point of view for HBP and DH. I would enjoy that.Other story idea...just a story showing the aftermath of the war. Maybe like a year after to show how things went.
I would personally like her to write Dumbledore's story, there is so much there beneath the surface. He is one of my favorite characters and I think there is a definite series that could be made of his life especially the younger years.

I don't know how good it would be for her to write a story about anyone who played a significant role in Harry Potter. I mean, us fans would lap it up, but would it really be able to stand on its own, without the Harry Potter series as a backstory? It would be nice to hear about some totally new part of the wizarding world that we've never heard about. How about something that takes place in Beauxbatons, or Durmstrang, or somewhere else in the world? There must be strange and amazing things going on everywhere, not just in the UK.

This is a little off-topic, because it's about a movie, not book--but JK Rowling is screenwriting for the new Fantastic Beasts, right? Imagine if she screenwrote for a new movie about the Holyhead Harpies (the all-girl Quidditch team). It'd be pretty cool. I mean, think about it--it be all girl-power and inspirational, like all those sports movies you see and still be funny and inspirational, too.
Besides, it would have that magic-y feel of Harry Potter. I've never been much into sports, but Quidditch? Yes please!
I think Rowling could write about three mainly topics :1: the times in Hogwarts of snape, james, lupin, sirius, peter and lily.
2. The story of the times of Grindelwald and Dumbledore. Remember that Grindelwald was the most powerful dark wizard after Voldemort and his duel against dumbledore (after forty years of war) is considered the duel of the century.
3. The history of the four creators of Hogwarts. How they meet each other, and the quarrel that ends with the creation of chamber of secrets.
Dann wrote: "I think Rowling could write about three mainly topics...#3 sounds really good.
#1 is interesting. and it would include Hagrid and Dumbledore and Lucius
#2 I'd really like to more about Dumbledore's past although I think his mysteriousness is a reason that I really love and admire him.
      Founders era
Dumbledore's life story
Harry Potter in Voldemort's point of view
A story about Lily and Petunia and how they changed
An alternate universe where Hermione is the Girl Who Lived
Just... ANYTHING!!!
