Leea Wendy, have a great time. I plan on eating an Apple Donut later with coffee, mmmmm!

Thanks ladies... Funny story, while we were there this guy and his wife are next to me while my boys and his daughter are running through this hay maze. I look over and it's Brad Miller (NBA basketball, used to play for the Sacramento Kings) he's like 7 feet tall and his wife is shorter than me, haha! We start chatting about parenting (the great equalizer) Then he says 'you just realized who I was?' I said, 'no, I know who you are but you're with your daughter so we wont tell anyone.' He started laughing. It was funny!

Here is Brad...

Regina (reginar) So cool! How short are you? I am 5'3''.

Courtney | 337 comments That's so cool, Leea! You've got a sharp eye!

message 54: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I would never have noticed!

message 55: by Leea (new)

Leea i'm 5'7". All the males in my family are all over 6'4" (exception, my half brother we are the same height, poor guy) so I'm just used to tall guys. My husband is only 6" and sometimes he looks so short talking with my dad. LOL!!

The Kings were big here and we had season tickets for like 15 years. Plus, where we used to live in Rocklin all the players either lived up by us or would shop at the mall by my house. So i've ran into Bobby Jackson, Chris Webber and some more. I once was eating dinner and Chris Webber came in the Tyra Banks. The whole restaurant (Fats) left him alone, that's because when Chris came to Sacramento he was pissed because we are considered a 'Cow Town' so we just always gave him space and then he began to love it here. Even when we lived in Texas, we used to see all the Spurs because they lived near us. I could always tell because they drove Bentleys like I drove my Tahoe, all beat up and used hahaha!!

Courtney | 337 comments I never see the Mavericks =( I would love to see Dirk Nowitzki. I have a thing for him hahaha

Leea We have mice in our garage... yuck!!! It just started getting cold here and they are coming in for the warmth - pick another garage please.

message 58: by SANDRA (new)

SANDRA (smilleysandy) | 88 comments Ick leea, my bf is deadly afraid of mice we had one come in his apartment and he couldn't sleep or anything and thought it was in the closet but he was so afraid that I went in there to investigate and found a very white little mice with blue eyes, I asked him if we could keep him, he screamed like a little girl and than i had to bring him outside cause I couldn't bring myself to kill him... So now I'm my bf's hero.. lol

Okay... So does ANYONE ever catch themselves doing this???

I was driving to work this morning, and the car in front of me slammed on their breaks, which in turn caused me to slam on mine, then suddenly I had a vision of one Mr. James Fraser sitting in my passenger seat, and freaking out because he is just come from the past, and has no knowledge yet of how our workd is today, and he cant fathom how we didnt crash... etc etc..

I started giggling and thinking to myself, its official, I AM CERTIFIABLE... I am still shaking my head... Weird that.

message 61: by Leea (new)

Leea Hahaha!! That would be a sight. You're not certifiable.

message 62: by Laura (new)

Laura | 131 comments the boys are adorable Leea! you guys look great!!

message 63: by Leea (new)

Leea Thanks Laura...

I'm ruined from our week off school and work... It's monday and I don't want to do anything but read and drink coffee. Took the kids to the dentist and my 6 year old has his first cavity *oh the shame*

message 64: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Oh poor kid. How did he handle the filling?

message 65: by Leea (new)

Leea He was upset because he thought he did something wrong. My husband just (jokingly) blames me because I floss and brush his teeth each night. It will be filled in January. He loves the dentist and he's amazing with my kids so i'm not too worried.

message 66: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) Aww, sometimes it is just genetics. Stinks though.

message 67: by Leea (new)

Leea I keep thinking i've done something wrong but my husband has so many cavities and I have none - must be genetics.

message 68: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) You are a great mother and you come off as so healthy, I don't think it is your fault.

message 69: by Leea (new)

Leea 'I come off as so healthy' hahaha! I try really hard, just like you and all the other mothers. No one is perfect.

Leea,
I think it's wonderful that you are so in tune with your young son. If other parents were as sympathetic children wouldn't grow up fearing dental appointments.
Isn't it great to have a very good dentist?

message 92: by Leea (new)

Leea We haven't posted in here in awhile...

message 93: by Annette (new)

Annette Thanks for reminding us of this post Leea :)

I got to thinking this morning about getting older, because one of our new members just turned 30. I always thought that when I got older I would turn into a self righteous prude, but I didn't. I feel so much more liberated than I did in my 20's and I love the confidence I have now.

message 94: by Leea (new)

Leea I feel the same way. I'm 34 and I just don't care what people think of me or my body anymore. I feel more comfortable with myself and where I am in my life. It also helps that my husband also loves me for who I am and I have confidence in that relationship.

I wonder if at 40 i'll still feel the same way?

message 95: by Brunhilde (new)

Brunhilde You ladies are wonderful. I am not handling being middle-aged well. In fact, I am in denial. So I can't even really comment on what my true feelings are because I am ignoring, repressing, and denying for all it's worth. :)

message 96: by Leea (new)

Leea Why is that? I'm sorry you feel that way Brunhilde. I hope that changes for you :)

message 97: by Annette (last edited Sep 18, 2012 07:29PM) (new)

Annette Leea, I am 47 and I feel better about myself than I did at 30. I deal with lifes bumps much better and my emotions aren't all over the place. I guess I am able to think more logically without all the other stuff messing with my brain. I will never have the waist line I had when I was 20 and that's ok.

message 98: by Leea (new)

Leea It's funny because my husband hates getting older and It doesn't bother me. Haha! I wish I could get a handle on my emotions because lately they're all over the place and it's getting annoying for sure.

Ugh my waist line, used to be so tiny and how after two kids I have a small pooch. I really need to get running again.

message 99: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I feel different at 40 than I did at 34. Not sure if it is better or worse. :)
