I read this book in early 90s, so it could have been published late 80s, early 90s. It is NOT This Place Has No Atmosphere, which is kind of a funny, high school type book. This book was more serious. The girl meets a Welsh guy on the moon, something bad happens at the end, where someone heads out on a moon buggy thing that runs out of oxygen. I remember the Welsh guy uses the phrase "Nos Da, Cariad" which means "Good night, sweetheart" in Welsh. Any clues?

They made a television series of it in the mid 80's.
Great! Thanks guys! I didn't remember anything about the stranded alien, but how many other books could there be about Welsh guys on the moon?
