C.C. | 29 comments Oh, I finished book 8: Awakened. I don't think I'll continue reading. (but who knows maybe I could change my mind :P) Im so sorry to disappoint you but I don't think Zoey will stop being selfish any time soon. :(

Lucille (lucillep) I think she'll stop being annoying at the very last book of this series. Which, if I remember correctly, is book 15.

Dear god, I wonder how many boys she'll hook up with before that.

Marijke Jansen (marijkefjansen) *** SPOILER ALERT VAMPIRE ACADEMY 1 ***

I have a question! I've read book 1 of VA and I loved it, but I was not very satisfied with the ending. Now I've read the cover of book 2 (and 3 and 4) and I could find in there that they will never be together, that he will turn into a strigoi and that she must hunt him down. That doesn't appeal to me very much, so I stopped reading the other books. But a lot of people here love VA, so my question is: must I read further? Are they good?

message 65: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca | 41 comments I read to the 4th book and didnt like it. I loved 2 and 3 though so I dont know, I think you should read the second and then decided

message 66: by Marijke (new)

Marijke Jansen (marijkefjansen) Thanks! I think I will! Already bought the third book with a big discount. Now I only have to buy the second book first... At the moment I'm reading Beautiful Darkness, the sequel to Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. I really loved the first book.

I haven't read that series yet... Does it go back and forth between the two main characters or is it only one?

It is mainly written from the point of view of one person: Ethan. He's in love with a special kind of girl: Lena. There are some moments written from point of view of Lena's, but not much. I must say that I like the idea of the point of view from the main boy character. It's lovely to see how much HE is in love and what HE will do to get her! There are a lot of fantasy themes in the book, but I loved the realistic story in it: that people can treat people out of the ordinary really cruel. I think you should try book one!

message 72: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (RiseOfChaos) HON was an amazing series at first. But after a while, the series started dragging on. IMO, the series should have ended between books 4-6, and now we're at about book 9 I believe, which I am reading right now.

message 82: by Jo (new)

Jo | 1 comments I finished The Gaia Wars in one sitting. I simply couldn’t stop reading. Technically a YA fiction book, The Gaia Wars is a lot more than that.

The character of Onotah is breathtakingly clever, and a poignant reminder of where we are headed with our planet lest we take care. Adults and young adults will relate to Warren easily as he struggles to find out where he fits in to the world, where he came from, and if life itself can be kept safe.

The Gaia Wars is fantastic, as fantasy should be, but it is oh so true.

I think that is what I liked the most about this book. The reality that is woven with the fantasy so realistically it almost doesn’t seem fantastic at all. The Gaia Wars (Gaia Wars, #1) by Kenneth G. Bennett The Gaia Wars

Right now I am reading the Daughters of Saraqael series: I have read the first one Becoming, and I am on the 2nd one Central and I'm looking forward to the 3rd Foretold, the series is by a Goodreads author Raine Thomas, it is really good! Its like a combo of Twilight and Hush Hush:) Check them out:)

Astoria (astoriamalfoy) | 5 comments I don't think I've seen Hex Hall and Demonglass so far on this list, those 2 are amazing, and so is Clarity pretty amazing books, Sophie from Hex Hall is pretty amazing, she is witty and snarky, and you love her, and Archer is sexy, and in Clarity we get Clare Fern, whom does not put up with bullying or cheating. Both very strong female leads.

Anna and the French Kiss was quite amazing as well.

I've all of them that are currently out. I got the death bringer the NIGHT before it came out, and i was seriously acting nuts!! I was screaming and jumping and crying and laughing. It is a very underappreciated series, and that upsets me. Once a girl asked me for a series with skulduggery pleasants description, i gave her the first book and she told me she hated skeletons!!!
