What are you reading in November 2011?

I always thought the 2d half of "The Two Towers" dragged quite a bit. I think you're in for a pleasant read of "The Return of the King", Sandra. It rocks.

Finished Cart and Cwidder in a day last week, then started a 70s spy novel that I quit about a fourth the way through it. Just didn't appeal to me and I put it in the box to go to the used book store--not even saving it to try again at some other point. Not finishing a book I've started is almost impossible for me, so this was a big step.

Next up is book 2 in the Dalemark Quartet and lots of magazines that have been piling up.

I'm over halfway through The Snow Queen and am really enjoying this book; earlier I tried reading Feed but despite the glowing reviews saying this wasn't a zombie book, after 65 pages it read like a zombie book and I sent it back to the library. I nowhave The Magician King sitting on my shelf as my next read

Little time to read these days but I - eventually -started the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. I'm on the third book today Grave Peril - enjoying it so far but I do hope the series will unfold. It's starting to feel a bit repetitive even though Harry's opponents change from wizard to werewolves to ghosts.

I finished reading Planesrunner, which is Ian McDonald's first YA novel (and a very good one too.) Right now I'm starting on the first issue of Unstuck, which is a brand new SFF magazine that looks excellent.

I'm reading Tigana, really enjoying it. Then City of Bones. Why is there never enough time!

I started listening to Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. It's been nominated in groups I belong to, but has never won, so decided to read it on my own. Finishing up the 4th Harrington. Not sure what I'll read next.

I've moved on to Carte Blanche which is out of this groups genre; this author tells a good story

Love Tigana, one of my all-time favorite books by Kay, one of my all-time favorite authors.

It was someone on this site talking about it that whetted my interest. I'm almost finished. I'm in that wierd state where I want to finish but I don't want it to end!

Finished LOTR, and enjoyed it immensely. Found myself missing Middle Earth when it was done, and was somewhat broadsided by the sweet/sad ending.

Started an audio version of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, narrated by Simon Prebble, and am enjoying it immensely so far. Love the kind of tongue-in-cheek quality of it.

Had to temporarily give up on Berlin 1961. Its quite dry and ssslllooowww.

Started on The Company: A Novel of the CIA
Its a fictional history of the CIA.

He just reads them at the appropriate place in the text. It fits in well. Am enjoying the gentle sarcasm about British culture.
