Hell's Heroes
question
Who Agrees that Darren Shan could have made the ending to Hell's Heroes way better?

I despise this ending so much, I would have prefered if The demonata just destroyed the entire world in a huge massacre.
Maybe it's just me but I'm not one for nice endings

I think it could have been much much better. It was ok but sort of an anti climax considering the pace of the rest of the book.
I thought the ending was great. Didn't expect any of it.
I loved the ending of the demonata series, it was just as shocking, entertaining and brilliant as the rest of novels.
Reading it and knowing time would begin again and all of the events that would now not transpire the same way they did in the books definitely gives you a sense of "I went through all that for nothing??" However much like the ending of the saga of Darren Shan and I'm guessing the ending for the zom-b series, Darren Shan loves to end his books in a big way and leave us with not just a happillyever after type of ending but one that just blows your mind.

I think any other ending would decrease the unpredictability of the story. We all know that Kah-Gash could be used to destroy the world of either human or Demonata, however; it would be a guessable ending if it was used to destroy the world of either first or the latter (most of us preferred to see it destroys the world of Demonata). I was also somehow disappointed about the ending when reading it for the first time. But then thought nothing could be better than ending it in a way that neither of the two world were destroyed. Although one might think that the ending kinda sweeps away all those happenings, it is an ending that no one can guess until the very end. I surely believe it was satisfactory and even great. I loved it.
I think a nicer ending would have been better. But I was OBESSED with the series and i loved it!
I think the ending should be more fighting and action and have lord loss die because I think that he is the reason that everything happened in the first place. Also, the way that Darren end the book by remaking the world is just lazy writing. He maybe should have wrote how grubbs, kernel, and bec get some amazing power and destroy every demon.
It sucked. The ending made me cry in my sleep. Darren Shan throughout the series was very strong until the ending. The ending was horrible and obscene. "Let there be light." What a nice little cliche to mess up the entire series. The universe basically restarted again and it makes you pound your head on the table what a waste of time this book was. Why would Darren do that? He let the characters do all this work just so the world would reset. Lord Loss is still alive and so history will repeat again and again and again until the demons finally kamikaze the world.
I agree the Darren Shan could have made the ending better. In the book the whole universe just restarted out of no where and i was left of saying "What?" He could have at least added a prologue on what happens next.
I thought the ending was great. I loved that Lord Loss got to live. Not that I liked him. I just thought he was a awesome character.
the ending was a fine ending, i cant say its a bad or a not good ending but ya darren shan should it just made it more "real"
It was kind of, "woah, that was intense and quick", but I think it was pretty good.
i agree with Koyasan it has simalr fetures but i thoght that the saga of Darren Shan had a more intersting ending that the demonata sereis
I find the ending a bit similar to 'The Saga of Darren Shan' ending. They basically just created a whole new world/dimension and made everything that had happened as if it never did. I guess it could have been better.
I think that he did a pretty good job of wrapping it up. It was an ending I was satisfied with.
i thought the ending was ok. like you said if the demonata destroyed the world it wouldve been better.it wouldve been cool if grubbs, bec, and kernel duked it out with lord loss and the other demons in the demon universe wouldve been pretty exciting.
Na, I think it's fine just the way it is. Which i believe is awsome.
i think it would have been better if he explained what they had changed instead of just saying, let there be light, and done. no i think he should have written what they had done to make there lives on earth better for them and the rest of the world.
