I love Vampire Academy! That's awesome I never did that, but I did read two of the books in three days, but I didn't read all six books in two days. That's amazing! Are you going to start the Bloodlines series?

message 4154: by Intisar (new)

Intisar Khanani (intisar_khanani) Hmm... I haven't read the Vampire Academy books yet. I'll have to think about those.

I just finished the third book in the Flora trilogy Flora's Fury (Flora Trilogy, #3) by Ysabeau S. Wilce , which wasn't as strong as a conclusion as I would have liked (the "epilogue" ticked me off). I'm in the middle of The Key of Amatahns (Argetallam Saga, #1) by Elisabeth Wheatley and The Willows by Krystal McLaughlin , and just had to return Stormdancer (The Lotus War, #1) by Jay Kristoff to the library even though I wasn't finished. I should maybe read one book at a time. And, oh, do I want to read Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer . One of these days...

message 4175: by Aoibhínn (new)

Aoibhínn (aoibhinn) I just finished reading The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty by William Peter Blatty. The Exorcist is an engrossing, gripping, disturbing and well-written supernatural tale. I really enjoyed this novel. I thought the author's writing style was excellent. I found it very hard to put this book down for long. I just had to know what happened next even though I've seen the movie half a dozen times! It didn't frighten me to death but it did scare me a good bit! Even though the book is over forty years old, except for a bit of seventies slang here and there, it really isn't dated at all. The Exorcist is one of the best horror novels that I've read in a long time. Even if you've already seen the movie a hundred times I'd recommend reading the novel as it's a lot better than the movie!
My full review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Now I'm about to start Defending Jacob by William Landay by William Landay.

This series was cute. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be since everyone told me it was AMAZING. The first book is A LOT of world building and doesn't really pick up until about 1/2 way through.

TK421 (willymammoth) Couple of fantasy reads this month: The Priest by Monica La Porta and Crown of Vengeance by Stephen Zimmer. Nothing that'll blow you away: 2 and 3 star reads, respectively.

Disappointing, but not without their bright spots. Oh well. Them's the breaks.

Sasha (sashamv) I'm reading Breed by Chase Novak and Sharps by K.J. Parker , but I'm having trouble getting into Sharps, so I don't know if and when I'll finish it.

So far Breed is both funny and slightly disgusting, and is the first Horror book I've read in a long time. And the dog's name is Zeus, Like my dog! XD

By the time I finish those, I'll have gotten Reached (Matched, #3) by Ally Condie in from the library.
