I just started reading Nexus by Ramez Naam. So far I've been enjoying it--it's about an illegal drug called Nexus which causes its users' minds to become linked.

Re-read
which I enjoyed but not as much as the first time I read it, its a bit of a ridiculous book, definitely a guilty pleasure.About to start re-reading
which I'm really looking forward too. Then I'll (hopefully) be reading
Currently on an adventure with my two favorite social outcasts, Serge and Coleman.
“Caught’ is a funny word,” said Serge. “Most criminals catch themselves, like getting stuck at three A.M. in an air duct over a car-stereo store, and the people opening up in the morning hear crying and screaming from the ceiling, and the fire department has to get him out with spatulas and butter. If your arrest involves a lot of butter, or, even more embarrassing, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, then you actually need to go to jail, if for nothing else just some hang time to inner-reflect.”
― Tim Dorsey, The Riptide Ultra-Glide: A Novel
Almost halfway through
. Haven't read any good horror lately, it's my favorite genre but I've been caught up in urban fantasy lately. And let me tell you, this book is getting pretty diabolical, very reminiscent of earlier King, like Needful Things. I'm enjoying this very much!
Currently I'm reading the legal thriller The Associate by John Grisham. A law school graduate is blackmailed into committing corporate espionage at a large firm. So far it has been a page-turner.
I've seen so many posts like this. Really for me, I just found it smart to create a spreadsheet of all the books I've read and a short summary. Most of these books I purchased online so I have an okay Idea as to how many people actually recommended these books as well. 1. Look Again by Lisa Scottoline : http://amzn.to/1YXBNax
This book portrayed a mother's love regardless of how you became a parent. Not only that, it had you asking yourself, would you, could you, make that call? There is a real emotional pull between doing what is right and NEVER wanting to give away your own child. I think that the way she goes about finding out the truth is a very real look at not wanting to show all your cards until you absolutely have to.
2. 15th Affair by James Patterson : http://amzn.to/1YXCbWk
I love reading James Patterson's book; but I especially love and enjoy the Woman's Murder Club series. A cop, a medical examiner, a reporter and a prosecutor make up the club, and when they get together, look out! This book was special. Can Boxer trust her husband. He was missing for over a week, and Boxer finds out he has lied to her. I don't want to reveal too much, but this book kept me turning pages all day. Yep, I could not stop reading it and read it one day. I highly recommend it.
3. The City of Mirrors: A Novel by Justin Cronin : http://amzn.to/1YXBUmk
Really loved this trilogy - will make an excellent film if they ever get around to making it!!! I only wish I had been able to read these books consecutively without waiting for a few years between each one. It was a little difficult to catch up on things and remember where the story I had left off. Although, I will say this one was easier to jump into than the leap from the first book to the second.
4. The Last Mile (Amos Decker series) by David Baldacci : http://amzn.to/1XvtROM
The Last Mile refers to the last journey a Death Row inmate walks as he or she heads toward his/her execution (even if it is only 30 to 50 yards or so). In this novel, the author begins his story with Melvin Mars, a convicted murderer on the Texas death row, just hours before his execution. Spared by a confession by an individual awaiting execution in Alabama, Melvin's case attracts the attention of Amos Decker, the Memory Man, traveling to his new job with an FBI Task Force?
5. Extreme Prey by John Sandford : http://amzn.to/1YXCdxH
I've read everything this guy has written. Some I like more than others but he has never failed to disappoint me! These books are the reason I think I'd like Minnesota..... I'm especially fond of the books featuring Lucas Davenport. If you are looking for an absorbing read, then look no further. This one is perfect for the plane! I started it on the flight out to NYC and finished it on the return flight home. Enjoy!
That's My Contribution. :)
I'm currently reading
by Philip ReeveIt's a wonderful set of books. I just loved the idea of massive mobile cities trundling around, eating one another, but when I got into it, I found that it was so much more than that.
There are some great characters. My favorite must be Hester because she is so tough and resourceful, but there is a vulnerability in her that everyone can relate to.

I can't wait to start it, I have a few other obligations/buddy reads first, but I hope to read it in July!!!!!
I just started
for a Buddy Read, and am simultaneously reading
, I started this on my own, but a friend wanted to buddy read, so it is currently on hold waiting on her to finish her book!
I'm currently reading: Abomination and The Wind Through the Keyhole. Both are great so far. Sometimes I get bored reading the same thing straight through, so I have to mix it up and read two or three at the same time.

been meaning to read the rest.

Definitely read the rest. The traction cities get even more interesting (ice cities, raft cities) and the characters, and the relationships between them, get deeper.
I'm on the third book, and I'm enjoying it immensely.

I can't imagine how the cities possibly get more interesting!! lol. I definitely will, I'll see if my library has them avaiable (thats where i randomly came across the first one).
I found a fun book called Cobalt. So far the story is intriguing and reminds me of one of those old sci-fi channel movies.
Just finished
and am almost done with the sequel
. Pretty good, but in all honesty I think this could have been edited down to one book. Too long for the material. Kind of a silly cliffhanger at the end of the first book as well. Would recommend reading this with both books at hand, if this sort of thing interests you.
Just finished
Now reading
for a buddy readAnd
Bc I have been dying to read this and I am struggling to put it down to get some sleep!
Finished
pretty bummed the second book isnt out for the Aeronauts Windlass, this was definitely my preferred Butcher book so far, I'm very keen to get my hands on the next one!!LOVED Dumplin, not sure what is was about the book as I've never had serious issues with my weight but it completely moved and inspired me. Was an absolutely brilliant and wonderful read.
finished
, not bad though not as good as B.S's usual stuff. 3 stars.Few pages into
feeling so-so about it at the moment.

I didn't think i'd like it at first. I loved other Maggie Stiefvater books but I felt like the writing was so much different in this series.. I got about half way through and man was I glad I made myself keep reading. the book really picks up. If you can hang in there it's an amazing book and although you are still left with quite a few questions the whole series is now out so you won't have to wait around for the next book to come out which is always nice. i'm on the second book and i'm loving it as well, although it's taking me a bit to read through. hope this helps convince you to keep going.

..."I ended up finishing it.... but i only ended up giving it 3 stars. It did improve, but i still felt only so-so about it. Though Ronan did interest me, he was an unusual character.
I read her Scorpio Races book and absolutely adored it, i was disappointed i didn't enjoy The Raven Boys more.
Have you read any of her other work? and what did you think about it?
smashed through
in just a couple of hours, was just as good as the first time.Started
and its off to a better start then i expected, really enjoying it - and learning lots of interesting things about large reptiles.
