Help My Faded Memory

I need help remembering the titles or author of a set of books I read many years ago. It was a duology. One of the main characters was named Neven (N'even) I am not sure of the spelling. He was an old herb seller trying to right a wrong he committed in his youth. He was trying to get two souls back together through their multiple lives, after something he did separated them. Beyond that I am a little fuzzy.

This one is definitely in the sword category, so I was hoping someone in this group may know what the heck I am talking about.

Any help would be appreciated.

Your synopsis sounds a lot like Katherine Kerr's "Deverry Saga" which are the first 4 books of her 15 book "Deverry Cycle."
