Jackie I quite enjoyed the Goose girl series by Shannon Hale.

Natalie I'm currently reading Crescendo and I still like it, although I always seem to like the first book of a series more than the rest. Do you know how many books she plans on writing in the series?

Bri Harry Potter, so you can be exposed to literature that's actually good. And be cleansed of Twilight's corruption.

I am pretty sure there are 4 total. I like the first one better as well, but the 3rd, Silence, is the best so far. I think the 4th may come out sometime next year.

Like I also said to Georgia: i've read over three hundred books since twilight and I still love it.

We don't care if you didn't like the book. This thread is for people who LIKED twilight and would like to continue reading within that genre. Why do you bother to post such nonsense when you know it will only result in a continuous string of negative feedback? Go to an anti-twilight thread to discuss your hate, not a book recommendations thread.

Nutmeg Awesome The house of night series also about vampires and romance

I will agree that Harry Potter is an excellent read, but that does not mean that people who read Twilight need to be "cleansed of Twilight..."

Brian, you represent the mass of people who I will openly admit that I hate because you JUDGE people on what they read, which ultimately judges and questions their intelligence. I am in my final year of an advanced English Degree and I absolutely adore twilight. Oh wait, that must mean that I am not well-read and am lacking intelligence because I can 'endure' an entire book written by Meyer, which ultimately means I need to be “cleansed” of shitty reads because I read Twilight or within the genre? Last time I checked my GPA didn’t reflect stupidity, or that I was not well read. As a matter a-fact I adore the classics and the uptight and brilliant modernists such as Joyce, Woolf, Pound, Eliot, Faulkner and contemporary geniuses: Hemingway, DeLillo, Carter, etc etc etc! Hate the book, but don’t judge the readers.

Natalie, I totally agree with you, I am just so annoyed with some people's comments here. You said it right, this particular thread was for people who LIKED Twilight, not a bashing site and you know what, they purposefully look for sights containing Twilight so that they can come on and say something negative. I mean get a life or a clue or something. I will throw down intelligence levels with them any day, man. You and I can tag team. I mean who does that?
And Brian, I adore Harry Potter, J>K Rowling is brilliant, but you could have said that without the Twilight bashing comment. I don't need to be cleansed of anything. I love Twilight, and I am very well educated with a BFA in Creative writing with extensive study in English Literature and I say Twilight is great. If you take all the annoying people who hate Twilight because they love to hear themselves speak and add the legitimate critics who dislike Twilight, they would still all be just a speck of dust against the people who love Twilight.
Oh, and I had given my suggestion on a new series that I love and adore, "Tiger's Curse" by Colleen Houck, who is absolutely amazing and brilliant, she was inspired to write the series by Rowling and Meyers.

Natalie Well said!

The Tigers Curse? Never heard of it. What genre is it?

LoisLane00007 Natalie, The Tiger's Curse series is absolutely amazing. You will love it. It is in the YA category, even though the heroin turns 18 in the beginning of the book. It's one of my new favorites. Here is the order:

1-Tiger's Curse
2-Tiger's Quest
3-Tiger's Voyage
4-Tiger's Destiny(out on July 3, 2012)
5-Tiger's dream (she hasn't written it yet, lol)
But 5 in all and a possible spin off later.

These are best sellers and it's already been picked up for a movie. They are that fabulous. It's about a girl helping to break a 300 year old Indian curse. Sort of an Indiana Jones with an amazing love story. I am dying now for July to come.

Sabine O yes, the Tiger's Curse series is really really good!! It makes you want to go to India so bad, and the shapeshifting boyfriend (and his shapeshifting brother) are characters to die for. Fabulous books!! Highly recommended :)

LoisLane00007 YW, Natalie. You will not be disappointed.

Sabine, I know, I always wanted to go to India, but now even more so after these books. I am so in love with this series. I love how the characters grow throughout the series, the amazing details, the romance, the adventure, and oh... the brothers, lol. Okay, I wont say any more, don't want to spoil anything. For those who haven't read them yet, try to avoid all the discussions for these books, because you really don't want anyone to spoil it for you.
