Movies (duplicate thread)

127 hours was alright, but I almost would have preferred it to be shot as more of a documentary style. I really didn't care about his personal life flashbacks, even if they were sort of showing how he was starting to go a little bit mad.
Red Riding Hood was good. Nothing special. I guessed who the wolf was right away (although other people I've talked to didn't, so maybe I just got lucky). The story was average, some of the lines were cheesy ("I could eat you up"...ewww), but it was cute and the cinematography was stunning. My husband liked it okay, so that was a minor win. I loved watching it on the big screen for its beauty.

Also saw the Fighter on DVD. I thought it was quite good. I'm glad I didn't know the results of any of the fights, or really any of the backstory. Melissa Leo was good, but I'm not sure she deserved that Oscar more than the other nominees.

It was, as Randy Jackson would say, "ah-ight" for me.

I think it’s a Disney nature program- it was a documentary all about well, oceans and how we’re destroying them. It really was visually stunning. I think it’s by the same film maker as ‘Earth’- also visually stunning, if you haven’t seen it.

I don’t go very often. The only time I get to go is taking the four year old to the latest animated movie. Suckerpunch does look interesting.

'cause Randy Jackson is the only black person to ever say aiight.

I used RJ as an example because he says it week after week on one of the most watched television shows in history.
Perhaps I should have said, "as many black people might say, it was aiight for me?"
Oooh, I want to see Margin Call.

With Jeremy Irons, Simon Baker, and some others I don't care about including Kevin Spacey and Demi Moore. Subject: global financial crisis of 2008.

I had already planned on seeing Suckerpunch, but Hanna also looks like it will be quite interesting. The commercial came on a few times tonight and it caught my eye.

It sucked pretty hard. He did everything wrong for the entire length of the movie, and in the end he got what he deserved.

This movie made me think...
what would I do for my sisters?
about the death penalty...
Hillary Swank was wonderful.

Temple Grandin was really the only one that didn't disappoint. In fact, I found it to be inspiring, mesmerizing, & charming.

Larry wrote: "I loved Amélie. I've never seen a film about cannibals."
One of my favorites, Larry!
Watched Salt (not bad) and The Road this weekend. The Road was every bit as depressing as the book, what was I thinking adding that to the queue?

Over the last couple days I watched Inside Job, the documentary on the cause/process of the economic crisis. Well done...pretty interesting.

Now this is more like it. No cutesy, animated talking critters, tired, cliched plot lines, or predictable happy endings. "Rodrick Rules" pulsates and twitches with an undercurrent of sibling headgames, middle-school caste systems, and good old-fashioned parental duping. Much better than the first installment.

I just found out Robert Pattinson was British, and played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter. I did not know that!

I said I was interested in seeing Micmacs, not that I'd seen it yet. I'll be curious to hear your report!
We watched "Love & Other Drugs." Both Anne Hathaway and Jake Gylenhaal are very, very, naked in this movie.
