Philip (sarah) Willis | 4630 comments I can pronounce it but can't write it! A loose translation would be; many single coins if saved make a large amount. I wish I had a pound for every time my mother preached it to me I would be a millionaire.Saving was never a habit I embraced.HeHe.

message 155: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I didn't write that very well, what i mean is:

Do you not need at least 50 posts in your author thread to have the book added to the group store page?

Hello Simon,
I'd be pleased to donate a paperback copy of my historical novel, 'Tom Fleck' to serve as a prize - I could post it from Yorkshire.

message 160: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Thank you, Harry. That's very kind and generous of you.

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments How do I buy something through the store without it being in the store? Just cancelled my order for my lighted cover because I forgot to put it through the store but there is only the normal one on there?

message 164: by Patti (baconater) (last edited Jan 15, 2012 12:01PM) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Just click on the amazon logo on the store page and go on to order as usual, Louise.

Thanks for thinking of the store page!

message 167: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments :)

message 168: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments You might need to go through the page when you do your payment though, unless you've already paid for it, never preordered stuff from amazon, so I don't know how it works

message 169: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Good, feeling like some shopping myself too :) Now... thinking hard...

message 170: by Emma (new)

Emma (emzibah) | 4125 comments I reeeeealllly want an Ipad aand got paid today!! Don't think I can justify that amount of money at the moment though - is horrible when the money is sitting in my account! would do it through the store page though if i did!!

message 171: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments I love mine Emma, but then I needed it for my lunchbreaks at work. Still haven't got around using all the features, but love the fact that I can take it to the kitchen, listen to music while looking at the kindle recipes and doing the washing up or sorting out the veg or whatever ! A nd then while I have to wait for stuff to cook I just sit down and read !Takes a whole lot less space as well!

message 172: by Emma (new)

Emma (emzibah) | 4125 comments have you got the 16gb one or a larger memory?

message 173: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Yea I think I have the smaller one. But I don't download music or anything on it, so I guess memory wise I don't use up that much

message 174: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Love mine too. I have the 16 as well.
It doesn't do some stuff, but I can always fire up the lappy as needed. I know it can do lots that I don't utilise as well. Geoff teases me about that often!

I'm going to start nagging Simon about spending time on updating our store page. I know he's VERY busy in the week but I reckon a few hours on the weekend are ours! Back me up groupites!

message 175: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments From what you're saying you'd prefer a holiday Karl IMO

message 176: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Karl, I'm loving your tag on your name.

Shiny new toys are lovely. Sharing shiny thoughts of giving and sharing thanks in return give true joy.

Patti's Zen though for the day.

Tomorrow. Motorcycle maintaince and the Zen thereof.

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Definitely too late for me tonight, shall meditate over it tomorrow :)

Everly Anders I love the store! Great idea.

Stephen Livingston | 38 comments Is it the case that I need to have 50 posts in my thread in the Meet the Author category for this group in order to have my books featured in our store?

Best wishes, Stephen Livingston.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Yep, you've got it, Stephen.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I'm sure I am well over 50 comments on my author thread...

message 187: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I'm sure he will do soon as he now has proper working Internet again.

Can't see him doing it in the week though. Poor guy. Work is crazy for him now.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Oh god what haven't I done now.......

I resign!

message 189: by Patti (baconater) (new)

You're indispensable.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments You need a holiday Simon. Go and visit Patti.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Thanks gl, I have always fancied being kidnapped by Somali pirates. Visiting patti is my best chance.

message 196: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments If you read through the thread, you'll see you need at least 50 comments in your author thread to have your book included. :)

message 197: by Ellie (new)

Ellie Keaton (elliekeaton) | 68 comments What about some of us authors adding the UK amazon kindle bookstore to our blog - I have a blogger blog and have zero interest in setting up a UK amazon affiliate account. But I would be happy to put up your store on my blog if someone told me how to do it (I am not very techy lol)

I am very new here and only on my third post but I think what you are doing is awesome.

message 198: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oh thanks so much, Ellie!
I'm so pleased you're enjoying the group. :)

I'm not techie at all either.

I'll be sure Simon sees your post so he can help you out.

So very kind of you!

message 199: by Simon (Highwayman) (last edited May 23, 2012 07:01AM) (new)

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Hi Ellie, it depends a bit on how you are linking to amazon but essentially if you have a web link to amazon you need to tag the end of the address with
&tag=ethings-21
Of course there are exceptions where this fails. If you show me the url I can tell you what to go with it ..... if you see what I means ;)

Anyone else who is willing to link to amazon with our affiliate code - it would be appreciated as this is how we fund our quizzes. All money goes back in to the group.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Sorry, have to keep it short between geek training.
