I guess I should introduce myself even though I've done the rounds. Basically, BookBub has great deals on Romance books which I have been impulsively buying over the past few months. So now my Kindle is extremely littered with bodices and half-naked men.

And, now, much to my chagrin, I have to force myself to read all these books, lest my money go to waste.

Hello all, I'm Summer and if I had a nickle for all the hours I've stayed up reading when I should have been sleeping . . . well, I could probably pay someone to sleep for me. I've come to reading (and writing!) romances kind of late, but I'm making up for lost time. I've been reading a lot of HR, because I find the maze of manners and procedure really compelling in building tension.
(though, I only write contemporary romance)
Book people are the best people, and my favorite way to connect is through shared enjoyment (or, sometimes even better, non-enjoyment) of a book, and I'm excited to find some new virtual pals.

Tbh, I'm not much of a wholly romance novel reader but I like the occasional romance in books and I generally like to read. I just feel like most romance books today are full of the same idea where boy/girl likes boy/girl and two days later they're in bed 😬 like I would rather see something growing than insta-love. Because like TMI had A LOT of romance but it grew overtime and there was also a ton of action.

I'm sure you'll find some new authors in amongst our pages :) Members will generally chat away in any thread, but if you are looking for specfic recommendations, you could try posting in the 2018 Jan Feb March - what are you reading? or January 2018 in reflection - best and worst reads or you could post a specific topic requesting help in the RRR Discussions and Top Lists folder.

I found the easiest was just to lurk in the monthly challenge folder to see what ppl were reading, or click on a member who liked the same stuff as me, and then compare our books :)

I just joined (*waves to my Spell captain* Hi Jane!) and am looking forward to finding new challenges. I love the stated purpose of the group and that it's so inclusive, meaning I don't necessarily have to police my reads to fit a pre-defined romantic relationship.

I've spent the last 14 months NOT reading one of my favorite genres (MMF) because it is usually not allowed in the group I joined here on GR first...and because I'd like to read more books with Non-Binary, gender-fluid and trans characters featured in the story.

(I have over 3000+ books on my two "want to read" shelves and I am the kind of person that needs a challenge to help me narrow down the choices!)
