I imagine Lord of the Rings was taken out of the second running for getting all the votes ;-) Mrs. Joseph took out all the clear front runners so that it'd be easier to narrow down the rest.

1. The book had enough votes to be placed on the Final List for top 100.
2. The book received 1 or less votes during the last poll.
3. The book was duplicated and/or a part of a series. Please search for that series.

Yall are going to have to start reading these emails I send. :) I'd imagine that a lot of your questions would be answered... :-D

Excuse you? Have you volunteered to help in any way? At all? Have you even READ the previous messages, emails and posts??
Cause your "protest" amounts to a hill of beans.

Thank you for putting so much work into this. I'd love to see some of the people who are complaining do nearly half the work you have.
Just saying :)

I suppose that's for us to find out once all the votes are compiled!

Thanks, M.R. You've been a big help.
I'll get back to yall later.

Thanks Mrs.J for the extra work. :)

First of all, no one claimed Goodread's Best. We claimed FA's best. What I am finding fascinating about the poll is that it has brought out all sorts of FA members that do not regularly participate in book reads or discussions. The very fact that anyone is protesting rules/ nominations/ etc. at this point when we've been discussing it for about 3 months means that you aren't really an active FA member, and frankly, I feel your vote shouldn't count towards "FA's Top 100." But the other moderators are nicer than I, so it does.
Mach, just chill and wait. Don't you think if she wanted to unveil the top 5, she would have? Just follow the rules.
MrsJ, you rock! I know this took a crazy amount of time and your plate is full with personal and professional obligations, so I can't say enough how awesome you are for doing it.

"I am an avid fantasy reader who didn't read the:
"1. The book had enough votes to be placed on the Final List for top 100."
If the book was that good it was probably removed from the list because it got enough votes.
Anyway, what were those two top books of 2010, cause I'm sure different people would have different opinions on those. For me the two books I enjoyed the most that year were Wise Man's Fear and Way of Kings. I could swap any one of those for Towers of Midnight.

I have been thinking about reading Way Of Kings soon.

He probably means his own books.

I have read everything ever written in fantasy and I must protest the lack of the obviously superior Twilight from this list. Without it, you can't call this the best of the internets list. If you do, I'll call my congressman. You've been warned.

Thanks for putting this together MrsJ. It'll be fun to see if there are any surprises.

But the fact I haven't read most helps a bit. :)
And MrsJ, Ignore the protests. They just mean you are doing something right.
