Getting Started
♦Create your own challenge from the below categories and topics! To do that follow these steps....
Choose the number of books you want to read for the month, starting as low as 1 book for the month up to however many you can fit in. Read through the below categories and topics and find the ones that you want to use to create your challenge. Based on the topics you chose, select your books that will fit with each choice. You can select some from each category or all of your selections can be from one category, it does not matter, it is your challenge! (These can be added later)Some Basic Rules
You may change or add to your list at anytime. You may also change the level of difficulty at anytime. Books may be re-reads but you can only read them during the Month of October. Please post the cover of the book if your category choice has something to do with the cover. Only books read in October can be counted for this challenge. You may use books from other challenges (so if you are doing Hero, Susanomics, etc... you can use any of the books you are using for those challenges)Please Remember To...
When you finish a book please strike it out, or add a check mark, Post the date that you finished it, and rate it 1-5, 1♥ being you didn’t care for it, 5 ♥’s being you Loved IT! Update Original List, and add occasional updates in the challenge thread. In your original list and updates make sure to add books completed example: 4/10 Completed

Categories and Topics to Build Your Challenge!
We ♥ We are changing it up for October...Pick books that start with any of the letters in WE ♥ HALLOWEEN (if you don't celebrate Halloween, please feel free to use SUSAN MALLERY) To add a little twist they have to fit in one of these three topics, (you can use each topic for as many letters as you want or use the same topic over and over, and you can choose 1 letter, a few, or all of them!) The
is a freebie and can be used to read an author you Love 
Genre: Paranormal Romance -Choose a book from the Paranormal Romance genre.Theme (from Only His): Starting Over and Building New- In Only His several of the characters are starting over...with a job, or relationships..ect. Another common theme was building...building the new Casino, and building a giant Vagina for the town (now you want to read it huh?!lol) so...Choose a book that the main characters are starting over in some way in their lives, could be a second chance at love, or changing your caree path in the middle of things...ect. OR Choose a book that deals with building. The character could have a job involving building, or they could be building a caree, or a new relationship.Subject: Obsession/Mistakes- In Only His Tucker confuses Obsession with Love so...Choose a book that the main character deals with obssion in some form. It could be a case of mistaken ♥ or a stalker, ect. OR Several of the character in Only His deal with mistakes they have made in their past and how they haunt your future, so... Choose a book that the character(s) Have made a mistake and are dealing with the fallout.Examples:
H- Genre: *Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost(Paranormal romance)
L-Subject:Never Enought by *Lauren Dane(deals with mistakes coming back to bite you on the butt!)

Choose a book that fits with one of the topics dealing with National Month categories and topics associated with September. Can deal with cover, colors, theme's, characters, title... Get Creative!!!

Vegetarian Day~Fire Prevention weekColumbus Day Tuxedo DayAngel Food Cake DayMad Hatter DayGreat Book WeekGrouch Day/Sweetest Day~ Nat. grouch and Sweetest Day fall on the same day! (sweet irony;) so Pick a book where one of the characters in the book is sweet as pie, and the other is a total grouch! National Breast Cancer Awarness~ Find a book with a Pink Cover, OR the Cover shows a womens Breast, OR Character (main or side) has battled with cancer or lost someone due to cancer.The Count's Birthday ~To Celebrate the Count's birthday, read One, One book about a vampire (sorry couldn't resisit;)National Date Nut Bread Day- read a book where character goes on a date(s) with a nut (crazy person!) *Denise gets back in the dating saddle in Only Yours and she def. dates some nuts!
World Smile Day- Read a book that the cover makes you Smile! OR the book makes you Smile (laugh) OR character on the front is smiling
Cover to Cover!
Find a book with a Cover that matches the topic's listed below! (Topics are either Fall or Only His related)
It Was a Dark and Stormy Night (cover has a storm, or a night setting on the cover) Getting Lucky! (there is a casino on the cover, character are kissing or making out, cover is green like MONEY!) Building it Up (character on cover is construction worker, there is building being built, character with tools, building a cake, ect ) Colors of Halloween: Orange and/ Black (needs to be predominte color) Harvest (can be field of any sort, or farm setting)Howling at the Moon(can have a moon in any phase on the cover Falling in Love (a couple of any sort on the cover) Trick or Treat (find a cover with something that people dress up as for halloween...vampire, witch, pirate, regencey garb, fairy, ect) Something Wicked this way Comes (This can be traditionally scary or something that scares you...like water, or spiders, or heights) Excentric Artist (cover has interesting cover art, OR there is an artist on cover, OR this is artwork of any sort on cover)
Remember, you can choose a little from here and a little from there, or just do 1 category! Have Fun Building Your Challenge!

(and I know you all want to know what surprise I'm talking about...Rin knows, and Jennifer, and Tegan, and Dawn, and Vicki...guess the rest of you will have to wait☺)
I also have a Challenge Log in this group, and on top of that I actually write down each challenge and put it away in a folder. And when I finish a book I'll write it down for which ecer challenge it may pertain to. My kids always laugh at me cuz its like I'm in school again they say.
I like the idea of creating a bookshelf for challenges. I just might steal that idea Shell

Hey guys.. we are so frigen good!! I keep a book log as well!! i have a mark against each book as to whether its a book or a pdf, or in some cases both. and I write out all my challenges too. i have to so I can keep track of them!

Right above the comment box you'll see 'add book/author'. Click it. It'll bring up a box where you can search for your book. At the bottom you can add the Link or Cover. Choose Cover. :)

I can try that I guess. I have 4 books that I've started and I can't seem to get past page 112 in any of them. I don't know if it's just that I am sick or if I'm just not into any of the books. However I have no problem watching tv. lol

Downgraded mine..could probably fill in with what other books I've read this month to meet the original 16...but I'm not. lol So 8/8 Complete.
downgraded mine too... i read a lot this month just not what i thought i would get to,lol Hey Shellbelle I was able to get to Delicious - read it in a day it was really good - hated Gloria what a meddling bitch!! Will probably read the next two next month....
