Have a rockin weekend...I have truly enjoyed reading this feed. ;)

My two latest stories have already been picked up for 2012 publication in two top literary magazines next year.As you know, such literary magazines are amazing difficult to break into and continue to publish only the finest writers. My "Story Cloth," is scheduled to appear in the 2012 Spring issue of Potomac Review. The very controversial(and very sad)"The Honey Wagon," will appear in the 2012 Summer issue of the prestigious North Carolina Literary Review.
Please make a note of these dates and continue to support one of the last places where important writing still survives. Thanks.
Best.

We are starting a literary journal, and were approved for a Kickstarter. We have 16 days to raise $2500. The pledge levels range from $1-$2000, and come with varying levels of awesome SWAG. The more you pledge the more you get. $50 bucks will get your name on the "Thank you page", a pdf of the magazine, a print copy of the magazine, a writing journal with the first issue's cover art, and a t-shirt with the first issue's cover art.
Every little bit helps. As proof please read my Philosophy on donating a dollar.
Thank you for reading, here is the link

P.S.
Please forward the link to anyone you think may be interested. Thank you again.

If you are worried about not having enough money for Christmas shopping, the way Kickstarter works, is if we don't reach our goal your financial obligation goes away. If we do reach our goal then the amount you pledged will be deducted from your bank account, via Amazon.com, after the fundraising period ends, which is December 26th, just in time to deposit that ten dollar check from grandma that you never know what to do with. Now you could turn that random trip to the bank into a print copy of "Werewolves and Other Bitches" and an awesome thank you to your grandma in print, in every copy of the journal.

Cheers,
Aaron

I've been an inactive member on Goodreads since 2010. Now it occurs to me that activity is necessary to get people to read my books -- even when they are FREE downloads. That's what I want to contact you about. My Beach Tales is a series of short stories written when I was with the Miami Herald Sunday mag. It's a free download on Amazon all weekend. I'm npot posting a link.
Btw, I'm in Delaware Water Gap, PA. You're in Tobyhanna?

Uke, goodreads had a message system built into it. You go to my profile and send me a message.
However, based on what you are saying here, simply posting about your book is not enough within TNBBC. I ask that members be active... post and interact with members in existing threads on existing topics and become friendly and familiar with our members...

Okey dokey. Well, maybe you'll check out the free Beach Tales. Meanwhile, I'll check out some discussions here. I'm in it for the long haul.
If you are an author feel free to fill out a questionnaire for yourself and book at http://www.lazybeagleentertainment.com.

You hit the nail on the head with the 'stuck somewhere between relief (at finishing it), terror (at making it public) and fear (of making a total fool of myself).'!!! I felt the same way when I started and still do sometimes!
Good luck!
And btw, feel free to drop by my profile page http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/... or Facebook fan page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Meliss... and have a sample read. I'm going to check out your first chapter now. :)

How do you select the books you read for the club out of curiosity?
How do you select the books you read for the club out of curiosity?
I select them based on my past experience with the publisher, the quality of the writing, and the approachability and commitment of the author - when all three things line up, I have a potential pool for my Author/Reader Discussion series.
The monthly two book group reads are all member driven through nominations and voting.
