I just started the series

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but I love

Check out my favorites shelf. I am more into UF than PNR because I get sick of the same thing over and over and haven't found enough series with originatl storylines so far in the genre(Maybe I just haven't read the right series, I know lol). I tend to steer clear of YA as well, but will occasionally read it.My favorites series, in no particular order, are: (again, most UF but with sexual tension/relationship building. I do like a touch of romance in my UF, but I like when it builds more than just they meet and fall for each other)

I have started the following series and am in love so far, but haven't finished the series or the next books haven't been released yet

I only mentioned

I love KMM, Rachel Vincent, Richelle Mead, Jeaniene Frost, etc.. The BDB series is next on my list.
I haven't tried Discovery of Witches, but I keep hearing about it. I might have to add to my slush pile of TBR.

I only mentioned

I will check it out! I don't have anything against YA, just hasn't really caught my interest lateley. I have a few on my TBR list. (which is never ending and out of control lol).

I'll have to look into the other two you mentioned.
@Laura - No worries. Not ever book is for every person. :) Please tell me about Discovery of Witches. I've heard both sides of good and ok.

I realized the synopsis does not give you anything so I found this review that sums it up better than I ever could :

Deborah Harkness' debut novel, A Discovery of Witches: A Novel, is amazing. I was drawn in from the first and did not want to put it down. Diana Bishop is not going to use her magic--at least, that's what she keeps telling herself. She is the last in a long line of powerful witches, with a father as powerful as her mother. However, having lost her parents when she was seven years old has turned her away from her heritage and her magic. While researching alchemical manuscripts in the Bodleian Library, she comes in contact with a volume that reaches out to her magic. Panicked, she returns the book to the stacks, but it is too late--word is out that she has discovered the lost Ashmole 782 and now all species of creatures are after her.
Enter Matthew Clairmont, renowned scientist and vampire. He has been searching for Ashmole 782 for centuries and is determined to retrieve the book Diana has recalled. He feels drawn to Diana, feeling the need to protect her from the other creatures, despite witches and vampires being notorious separatists. They are thrown into an uneasy friendship when the worlds of witches, vampires and daemons descend upon Diana, all looking for the manuscript.
A Discovery of Witches: A Novel is one of the best books I've read in quite a while. It's clearly written to have a sequel, possibly more than one, and I am anxiously awaiting the next book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading.

Deidre Knights - Gods of midnight series is wonderful

Vivian Arend - Granite lake wolves/ Takhini wolves
Rhyannon Byrd - Primal instincts
Heather Killogh-Wladen - Big Bad Wolves
C J Bevell- moon trilogy
Kresley Cole - Immortal after dark
J D Tyler- Alpha pack
Emma Holly - Midnight series, new series started with Hidden talent
Regan Hastings - awakining series

I loved that series until the last book, it seemed Deidre Knight got bored and wanted to end it quickly, I have her other books but I don't want to start to find she has done the same to the other one too.

She said recently that she may continue the series, at least maybe a novella for Straton!

Happy reading!

only a novella in Hot Nights, Dark Desires, didn't care for it too much
