I am currently reading A Corpse in the Koryo. It's a police procedural/spy thriller set in North Korea. Very interesting.

Holly and Donna--Read The Likeness! :) I read both books and I really liked In the Woods, but thought The Likeness was a much better read. I felt the plot was a bit stronger, and the ending...won't say more than that for now! Let me know how In the Woods turns out for you!!

Hi Michelle,
Considering that you are an author, that is high praise for French! Best of luck with your latest book.
- Holly

I'll chime in and be the opposite voice on IN THE WOODS. I agree that French is a very poetic writer and I had no qualms with her ending, but I despised one of her protagonists, thought the other was lacking in development. I found the plot to be predictible and far too long. The story could have been told much better in a more succinct manner. I don't regret reading it, but I most certainly do not feel it deserved all the accolades it received.

Lori - I just finished In the Woods and I loved it. Very dark mystery that kept my attention even though it was quite long. The characters and plot line have kept me thinking. I just added a review to my shelf.

Hi Holly--I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was kind of sad I didn't get as many answers as I would have liked in the end, but I think that's the point. :) It was definitely interesting to see how Rob struggled back and forth through the case...
The Likeness has a similar feel, but I think I just enjoyed Cassie's perspective and the general storyline better--you'll have to read and tell me what you think!

Hi Donna--I'll steal that reccommendation! Any mytery with psychology and Ireland is a must read for me! (former irish psych major ;))

The Perfect Husband by Lisa Gardner

thanks

Lori - I agree with you. I wasn't crazy about salvation in Death but I am on page 200 of Promises in Death and have really liked it. I will be sorry to see the book end.

Kay - This book was a must read in my opinion since you have read others in the series. I loved it.

I'm enjoying this one, but you definitely need to read Maisie Dobbs first for it to make sense.

Happy Reading,
Sheryl

Love the Reacher series. Have you heard of "Critical Space" by Greg Rucka?
