Adam Spielman (adamjay) I have a black humor fantasy called Jarmo that I've yet to get reviewed. When I first published it in February I sent out a good chunk of free copies and haven't received a single word in return, so I'm reticent to send out more. I'm willing . . . but you'll have to give me a blood oath. The only format it's currently available in is .mobi, it's only up on Amazon.

Hi Adam, don't get discouraged on the lack of reviews yet. As someone who runs a review blog I know it can take me awhile to get to the books that I accept copies of. I have gotten 350 requests (haven't agreed to review them all) since late December so it can take a bit to get to them.

Steve Berkowitz (mrbsreads) | 3 comments Hi everyone,

My book Chocrotes and the World Without Question is in need of reviews. Chocrotes and the World Without Question Chocrotes is meant for ages 9 and up.

If you would like to review it I can send you a free ebook version via goodreads email. Here is the Synopsis:

In a world of chickens, one chicken fights for the right to question.

The setting for this book is a fantasy world inhabited strictly by Chickens. In this far off world, the Chickens live in fear of an evil King: Doodle Doo. This evil king, having usurped the throne from a Queen and King who believed in the power of questions and love, Doodle Doo turns the Chicken world upside down and destroys thousands of lives in the process.

Chocrotes is born during Doodle Doo's reign and is raised by a scientist and professor of roostory, who believe in the power of questioning. Chocrotes believes strongly that his peaceful world has been uprooted by a fascist regime. Throughout his life Chocrotes asks questions, even though he is warned not to.

This is his story.

Thanks for the interest, I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Steve Berkowitz

Will (wweisser) | 6 comments Hi all,

My book, Epic Fantasy 0.9b is badly in need of reviews. I've gotten good feedback from those who have read it but unfortunately my Amazon page remains bare.

Here is a synopsis:

The Decay is coming, and Ian, a fifteen-year-old from the Northwestern Forests of the Region, must flee his home village or be melted into noxious brown goo. With the help of an eccentric mage and an annoyingly cheerful orphan, he escapes to the Capital, fending off quadrupedal orcs, superintelligent vultures, and some of the Region’s less desirable human residents. But when he encounters a mysterious stranger who reveals that the Region may not be what it appears, he must decide whether to stay faithful to his friends, or abandon them and seek the truth.

Not your typical fantasy or science fiction book, EPIC FANTASY 0.9b is a genre-bending trip through a strange and surprising realm, blending action, adventure, drama and humor into a fast-paced, unforgettable story.

A novella of 35,000 words. Includes world map.

To get a free copy, you have a few options:

* Download from Smashwords (https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...) and use coupon code TA23Q.

* Send me a message on Goodreads with your e-mail address and preferred book format (mobi, epub, pdf). All e-mails are kept 100% confidential and I will never e-mail you again unless you specifically ask me to.

* E-mail me at will.a.weisser at gmail.com with your preferred format and I will reply with the book.

All I ask in return is that if you wish to leave an honest review, consider doing so on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008...) or Barnes and Noble (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/epic-...). Thanks so much.

J. McClain (jcameron) | 4 comments Hey all, sorry I haven't been a very active member here. I'm in the middle of a big relaunch of my life, which in part includes getting my new, free, self-published novel off the ground.

The Five Watchers is a paranormal thriller, 132,000 words. It's been out since mid-September, and I'm happy to say it's scaring people who read it--after all, that was the idea. It's free on Smashwords until Halloween, when I switch to a general release of the second edition (for $$) with added bits like maps and such.

I'm going to try and keep the first edition free if I can, but I'd love folks to get it now anyway in case I have to scuttle the first edition altogether. Read the reviews, and if it sounds appealing, please give it a read.

Thank you for giving it a read Mia, no matter when you get to it (as long as it's before the sequel comes out). I know, it's at the upper end of the scale. Well, I can guarantee you that compared to James Joyce's Ulysses, The Five Watchers is both a faster read, and scarier, thus the clear winner for Halloween reading. ;-)

Ian Kezsbom (iankez) | 23 comments Hi Everyone,

We released our second volume of Journeys of Wonder today. Each volume is a compilation of short speculative fiction from various authors.

Journeys of Wonder, Volume 2 (Volume 2) by Trysta A. Bissett

We had a lot of success with volume 1 (and it's still on sale at Amazon for 99 cents), but now we're looking for reviews for volume 2.

We have some kindle copies available to gift to anyone interested in reviewing it...simply email me here at Goodreads or through our contact page on www.journeysofwonder.com.

And finally, here's a short description of the five stories in this volume:

1. CAL: A young man challenges his father after falling in love with a cybernetic life form.

2. The Terrible, Perfect Duet: Cicadas, insomnia, and high school. What could possibly be more horrifying?

3. Helios: As humanity flees the wrath of Earth's dying Sun, a daughter's quest to claim her birthright jeopardizes the chance to escape.

4. Encrypted: Spies. Codes. Murder. A thriller about a man on the run – hiding a secret that others would kill for.

5. Lighting the Sacred Way: Set during the time of the Roman Empire, a woman tries to vanquish the evil spirit residing within her. One that arrived on the day her husband was murdered.

Thanks everyone!

Ian
(P.S. If you're interested we still have a few kindle copies of volume 1 to give out to reviewers as well).

Robert Jacoby | 1 comments There are Reasons Noah Packed No Clothes by Robert Jacoby Robert Jacoby

Hi all,

My debut novel was released earlier this month and I'm looking for reviewers.

Genre: Literary/Coming of Age
Page Count: 342

From the back cover:
You need your eyes, don't you?

So does Richard Issych. Two weeks ago he overdosed. Now he's fighting for his life, finding threatening notes like that one on his nightstand.

"There are Reasons Noah Packed No Clothes" is the story of 19-year-old Richard Issych, who wakes to a harsh new reality inside an inpatient unit. Now Richard's journey turns into one of revelations and struggling through his own reasons for being as he discovers new meanings for redemption, sacrifice, hope, love-and the will to live.

In the end, what are the reasons Noah packed no clothes? Richard can only imagine. But it has something to do with a size 3XL bowling shirt with the name "Noah" stitched over the pocket.

There are reasons . . . everyone uses his own dictionary.

There are reasons . . . some new heavens come from some new hells.

There are Reasons Noah Packed No Clothes

Dee Doanes (deedoanes) | 3 comments Hi everyone. I'm looking for review bloggers to review my book. It's The Man With the green Suitcase, a paranormal, mystery.

The Man With the Green Suitcase by Dee Doanes

Info:
What does...

A prostitute,
A corrupt businessman, and
A disfigured young woman

Have in common with a mysterious, old
homeless man who carries a green suitcase?

The old man comes into people’s lives because it is
important for them to experience the visions that he is somehow able to show them—visions that even he doesn’t understand. But whoever he connects with will go through a transformation that will change the course of their life, for better or worse. The old man has no memory of who he is or even what the suitcase holds.

This story is magical realism, realistic with paranormal elements, a mystery that needs to be solved, and a man and woman who will finally realize that they were meant to come into each other’s lives
and remain forever.

If interested email me on Goodreads with your email address or at: thegreensuitcase@gmail.com. I can send a PDF, Mobi, or ePub.

Thanks

Dee

Martin Gibbs Hey everyone, been gone awhile finalizing my historical fiction tale, Following Yonder Star:

Following Yonder Star

I would love some reviews for this work... the blurb is below:

Did the Three Kings make the ultimate sacrifice?

On a cold December night in Bethlehem, three mysterious foreign rulers paid homage to the newborn King of Man. They promptly vanished into history.

Who were these unequaled men? What hardships did they endure on their voyage? How much did they sacrifice of themselves?

This story details their harrowing journey across deserts, through a suffocating moor, over a towering mountain, and into the chamber of Herod. Throughout, they were tested by the devil and themselves. But at each test, they reaffirmed their strength, determination, and faith. The Three Kings persevered: So can we.

Following Yonder Star is a story that will reinforce the true meaning of Christmas.

Hey, potential reviewers. I hope you'll consider having a read of Bane of Souls. It's a stand-alone fantasy novel of about 101,000 words.

The plot revolves around the young Kuhrisch man Horst, who is travelling with his uncle to the city of Highford for a trade festival. The mages there discover he's 'cursed' (the Kuhrisch consider mages to be abominations), his uncle abandons him and he's conscripted, unable to leave the city on pain of death. To make matters worse, there are a spate of murders, and the killer(s) seem to have a taste for dead mages...

If you're interested in reviewing it I'll be more than happy to send you a copy. Just send me a note and I'll send you the book in your preferred format.

Living through Hope! by Chris Bullock Living through Hope!
This book was voted for in the November Historical Fiction category. An Historical Romance/Memoir of 101,000 words.

In a land of poverty and deprivation, the Famine brought misery, devastation and death. One woman dared to dream of a better life. Her name was Bridget, and through her beliefs and determination, her life was about to change.
Set in the Nineteenth Century, and based on factual family history, the story follows the life, emigration and romances of Bridget from childhood and throughout her life.
As she grows up in the beautiful hills of Connemara, Ireland; she is unprepared for an enforced marriage, followed rapidly by the ravages of the Potato Famine.
Forced to flee from the country of her birth, she finds love for the first time in England.
Her religious convictions and loyalty to her hated husband prevent that love from blossoming, until her husband's criminal deeds and villainous activities eventually cause his demise.
Living through Hope! is a story of survival through a catastrophe that affected millions and resulted in a mass migration from Ireland. It is also a story of hope, belief and, most importantly, love.

I desperately (did I type that? ...oh dear & here was I trying to be cool) need reviews for Keeping Azeroth Tidy and Life Shift.

1. Keep Azeroth Tidy - a tongue-in-cheek look at the World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft has a huge following & there are a lot of WoW related works out there, but there is very little in the way of WoW humour.

http://www.amazon.com/Keep-Azeroth-Ti...

2.Life Shift- a book about a woman who one day discovers another life in an alternate universe. Fearing for her sanity she seeks the help of a university professor who introduces her to the world of quantum physics and infinite universes. She becomes increasingly drawn to her life in the alternate world - and to another man in this life - much to her husband's horror. This is story about choices, regrets and marriage, alternate lives and wishes unfulfilled.

If anyone would be interested in reviewing please let me know & I will provide Mobi or other format.

Best wishes,

Hi, I'd love some reviews for my epic fantasy novel, Quest. I can provide PDF or epub formats for anyone interested in reviewing.

Quest (A World of Heroes, #1) by Michayla Roth

Two powers, two quests, two fates...two mortals struggling against the very forces with which they might have aligned themselves, had they been given the opportunity to choose. Two mortals, light and dark, locked into one intense battle. A battle of which the end has already been written in blood. A blood not their own, just as the battle is not their own. And yet, they must fight.
The year is 2E739, the second millennium since Euroclydonus, the last epic battle to shake Wundyrr's foundations. Two thousand years of peace--at least between mortal and spiritual elements--and now, the hidden script of a writing called simply "the prophecy" threatens to immerse the world of Wundyrr once more in a hideous battle, the likes of which could very well rival the infamous Euroclydonus.
Tiernan Lebonn is the single last link between Wundyrr and vitality. Should he fail in his impossible quest to seal evil once more within its fiery prison, the shadow will rise up to devour not only him, but also the world he calls home.
His counterpart, Shiloh of Cheokk, has been steeped in darkness since the day she was born and is bent on winning her own glory through the very disaster Tiernan is trying to prevent.
For either one to claim victory, they must completely lose themselves within the essence of their quests and trust that the powers to which they have surrendered will bear them up in triumph.
But as with any battle, only one can claim the victory. Or perhaps neither can.

Steve S. Grant | 20 comments Hello fellow readers, writers and dreamers. I’m looking for reviews for my recently self-published novel of 89 000 words entitled THE DREAMER GENOME.

Here’s the short description.

Who could possibly care about ethics when standing on the verge of the greatest evolutionary leap since Homo erectus stopped climbing trees? Certainly not Neil Reynald. He blatantly disregards laws, religions and whatever crap politicians feed the public in order to pursue his dream. With the support of a pharmaceutical giant, he succeeds in creating a generation of babies with the ability to hibernate and survive a cryogenic process.

When his clandestine lab is voluntarily destroyed to avoid discovery, Neil adopts three babies; they need to grow up to prove his theories. But the destruction didn’t go as planned and other test subjects survive. Unfortunately for them, their corporate parent is expecting a high return on its investment. Greed and personal ambition eventually overthrow the last remaining shreds of common decency and the experiment spirals down a dark path.

The Dreamer Genome is a realistic Sci-Fi thriller exploiting untested scientific theories in the tradition of Michael Crichton. Readers are taken on a wild ride to the near future and confronted with a definite possibility of the new century.

I'd be so, so happy if anyone wanted to review my new indie fantasy novel The Apples of Avalon. 120,000 words, so be warned! I can email for Kindle and ePub at the moment.

Mankind has lived in ignorance long enough.

Nothing much changes on Avalon Farm. Jack Reeve nurses his pain, grows apples and makes hard cider, unaware his quiet life is about to be torn apart.

All Jack wants is time to rebuild his life following the loss of his wife. He is learning to ignore the strange sensations that assault him and which he doesn’t understand.

When Sara Goodwin turns up he knows he should send her away, but the young woman sparks something inside Jack he believes had died years before and he offers her a job. He has no idea Sara is on a mission, and that her mission is Jack.

While Sara watches Jack others watch Sara. Older, colder beings who have existed alongside man for millennia, always staying in the shadows, biding their time. Now they believe their time has finally come.

The world is changing and the couple become an unknowing focus for the forces of change. When on Halloween night those forces show their hand Jack and Sara know nothing can continue as it has. To survive Jack must fully accept who he is and embrace the abilities he has long fought to suppress. The adversaries arrayed against the small group on Avalon Farm are powerful, and soon Jack is no longer able to tell friend from foe.

And then, of course, there are the Jamaicans. And everyone has underestimated the Jamaicans.

Rae, I looked at the Kindle sample of your book, but the paragraphs didn't go all the way across the page from the heading "South." I think you should look at that, because if the book is like that for Kindle it would make it hard to read. I'd hate for you to lose sales because of the formatting.

Also, saying your book is 680 pages makes it seem extremely long, but 72,228 words is a good, standard length for a novel. In print, formatted like a paperback, it would be more like 300 pages or so, which people would prefer anyway. Maybe don't mention the page count when promoting. I hope you don't mind me mentioning this :) Your book does sound intriguing.

Yikes, I see that now. I will have to figure out what happened there, and get it fixed up. Thank you for pointing it out.

680 pages does make it sound long, for the most part I've been using the word count, but I saw others posting page length here.

If you can shoot me a message on here, or an e-mail hscapewell at gmail dot com I will gladly send you a copy to review when you have the time. I appreciate it, thank you!

Aimery | 8 comments By my estimation, at 6" x 9" and 11 point text, 680 pages should be well over 200,000 words. This presumes that titles and everything else are reasonably standard.

Hope this helps,

Aimery

R.A. Dyer | 6 comments I'm looking for reviews on my recently self-published book Stars in Your Fingers. I would really appreciate anyone who can help me!!

Blurb: A collection of fantastical stories and descriptions, including notes on lightcatching, prison cells, selfless love, layers of anonymity, a mystical half-reality, starfinders, Parisian cafés, and of course, stars in your fingers...

What happens when a nicklegrinder makes a perchance meeting with a lightcatcher? What would a presumed traitor do for love? What layers of anonymity conceal the strange wanderer as he sits by his fire and breathes words to make the sparks glow hotter?

Stars...stars in your fingers, only to slip away.

Aimery | 8 comments There are more review copies of my epic-length, hard sci-fi novel, Primae Noctis, available for anyone who wishes to write a review.

Brief synopsis:

It was the first night of humanity, now known as the Calamity: a time of global crisis that led to the deaths of more than 99% of the world's 13.6 billion inhabitants.

Sixty years later, and with the guidance of the Archonae, the survivors live in an idyllic society of secure and protected cities designed to elevate humanity to its full potential and prevent the problems of the past from recurring.

However, not everyone is content with life in the new utopia.

J.M. Rankin (jmrankin) | 54 comments Hi Everyone,
My first novel - Darkness Forbidden - was recently published (14th December) on Kindle, with the paperback due for released in January. I would really appreciate any feedback (a sample is available through Amazon Kindle, and is available free to Amazon Prime members).

Blurb:

What you can't have, you can never resist.

Immortal, ruthless, cunning...
Obsessed with the fatally seductive and evil Nadia, Alex Demeter finds himself intrigued by Catrina, a human with a past she cannot escape.
Disturbed by his distraction, Nadia wagers the ultimate prize -- the one thing Alex could never have.
Yet as Nadia's own games grow more sadistic, Alex's own past is brought horrifically to the surface, as the humans around them find themselves pawns in a game they could never understand.

Sparks fly in this dangerous tale of obsession as Alex and Nadia play dangerous games of sex and betrayal...

I would be really, really grateful to anyone who is willing to review or give feedback.

Many thanks
Jacqui

Is your husband offering review copies, or just looking for reviews? Review copies aren't a requirement in this group/on this thread, I'm just checking. :)
