Well done P8, great reviews! Richard, I'd say Meerkat Mail could be a great book to use with KS1 as a stimulus for letter writing, like The Jolly Postman: Or Other People's Letters. It's a fantastic book.

I found this book in my Year 2 classroom and loved it! Here is my review:

I couldn't find your review from the link to the book Emma- so many people have reviewed it! Here's the link to your review http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/.... It's a fantastic book; it can be used in so many ways. I have taught music/ D&T cross curricular lessons from it, with children designing and making percussion instruments to replicate one of the onomatopoeia words describing the journey. It's definitely one of my favourites!

Thanks Amy and Aine. Lovely reviews. I am going to read the Children of Famine books and review them by the end of the year!
Great reviews, thanks. Akilah, the link to your review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Great reviews, thanks. Lauren, this is the link to your review: your link goes to the book http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/.... Some people have called The Donut Diaries the British version of the Wimpy Kid books; Amy, you might like it better, and it could be somewhere to direct children who like the Wimpy Kid,
Great reviews, thanks Paul and Stephen. You may like Dermott Milligan's Donut Diaries, Paul, sort of a British answer to the Wimpy Kid.
Thanks Amy. Martin Waddell's Little Bear books are wonderful. Guess How Much I Love You is the other book I think is wonderful for showing love between a father and son, and male figures in a loving, caring role.
