There is more than one Jodi on the readerboard. Please repost, including your readerboard name.
Also, task 30.5C requires that the author have been born or lived for a "substantial period of time" in the country where the book is set. Elizabeth Gilbert still lives in the U.S. and only spent a few months in Italy.

Task 30.6E requires that you use your height in inches or centimeters, not feet and inches. Inches doesn't work - but I converted your height in inches to centimeters and came up with 175 cm., so book 5 in a series is still okay.

Task 30.7 requires a book with a five letter title OR a five word title. Even though you are allowed to aggregate 500 pages of picture books to satisfy the task, you can't "mix and match" among the different options.

The edition of The Shadow of the Wind you've linked to only has 487 pages. If you actually read an edition with 510 pages, you will need to repost linking to the correct edition in order to receive a Big Book ticket. In your repost, please indicate that it is for BB ticket purposes ONLY.

To use the 1 book option for 15.1, the book must have been published in the same year as the name was retired. "Dean" was retired in 2007, and the book you used was published in 1985. You'll need to also read a book by someone named "Elena" or "Gloria" (both retired in 1985) or a book published in 2007.
For task 20.7, the book you linked has fewer than 100 pages, so does not meet the challenge minimum.
For task 30.7, option B requires that you state the character you would dress as and the costume you could wear.

Sorry about that. I will move some things around and repost. How do you tell that a book is "elementary school age"? I don't see that listed with the book. I do see it listed as "children's" - but that seems to include a lot of books that are definitely not "emerging reader." I read a lot of young adult book, so I want to make sure I don't run into this again. One of the books I'm currently reading for another task is listed first as "childrens-middle school" but then also as "children's" and "young adult."

Charlaine Harris is not noted as being a GRs author."
Doh! I knew she had been interviewed for GR Voice and assumed.... well, you know what that means! :-)

Realistically, look at the book and see who is likely to be reading it for their OWN pleasure - if it's a book that's going to be a big hit among 2nd and 3rd graders, then it probably is not going to be appropriate for a 20+ point task.
On the other hand, a lot of adults would realistically read books like the Harry Potter books or the Rick Riordan books for their own pleasure.

Your post for 30.10 includes 2 sets of dice rolls, and you've used the second. I'm not sure what you mean by this.

Please read the posting requirements for tasks:
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/4...
To claim a task, you MUST include either a link to the book, or the author and the title. A link is strongly preferred, as doing a separate search to determine whether a book meets the task requirements is much more work for the moderators. If you do not include an author as well as a title, it is not always possible to be sure which book you have read, since there are many instances of two books with the same title.
Please repost tasks 25.1, 25.2, 25.4, and 30.10 with the link to the book you read (preferred) or the title and author in bold.
For any task involving a cover option, such as a color or picture, you must post a picture of the cover or a link to the book.
Please repost tasks 25.3, 25.5, 25.6 and 50.1 with the cover picture (preferred) or the link to the book.
While it doesn't directly affect points on the readerboard, to claim big book tickets, you need to post a link to the edition you read.

Jodi, option 1 of 25.7A requires that the book have a blue or gold cover, or the words blue or gold in the cover. This cover has a little blue and a little gold, but neither predominates in the cover.
It doesn't look as if you've done 5.9 or 15.10 yet - you could fit this in either of those tasks.

Great, thanks! I saw your new post. At this point in the challenge, I'm trying to get everything in as quickly as possible when I'm home, since the last 3 days are work days, so that limits my time!

I do not envy you and your task.
This was my first participation in the Seasonal Challenge Group. With this experience, I have learned a little strategy. Part of which is: Read for tasks with multiple books within close time frames to each other. That way, I won’t be scrambling at the last minute to read a fitting book in order to complete the compound task that was started three months prior. I can then report and review the books with less urgency and stress to you and me.
I thank you for your patience with my current reporting method, and look forward to the Winter Earth challenge.

Task 30.6 requires, for height:

5'8" equals 68 inches and 172.7 cm. Unfortunately, neither number contains a 5.
For task 50, for your first book, you noted it as meeting option E and 4. 4 requires the book to be at least 500 pages and the link provided shows a book with 308 pages.

I've reposted this task substituting a different book. But I want to ask a more general question about aggregating books to meet the page requirements. For this task, the option said it can be a five letter title or a five word title and you've ruled that I can't mix and match between these. What about for a task (e.g., 30.4) that says that an author's name must have certain initials? Can the different books used to aggregate have different initial combinations or do they all have to be the same ones?
In general, for tasks that require a set of things, I'd been under the impression that all books that fit the option could be used (e.g, if a task said the cover has to be red, yellow or orange, I might use some yellow covers and some orange ones).
Can you help me differentiate which tasks are of the "no mix and match" type and which are of the "it's all okay" type?

Think of it this way - you're aggregating these picture books to equal one book - so they have to meet the same option or criterion in order to equal one book. Since so few people choose to use picture books for the tasks, we haven't really had to give it a lot of thought, but we've thought it through, and this is the most logical way to handle it.
So, if the task calls for initials in the author's names, all the picture books must be by an author with the same initials. If it calls for a red book or a yellow book, then all your books must be red or all must be yellow.

Well, it's obviously up to you how you want to run the challenge, but I think this decision makes it much less fun. One of the things I've really enjoyed about this challenge is getting to include reading picture books with my son. But it's hard to collect 500 pages of books and if they really all have to be exactly the same in that way, I'll probably not be able to do it.
I'll note that it hasn't been done that way in previous challenges, but, like I say, it's up to you. I just want to let you know my thoughts.
