For 10.4, the task specifically states that all character count, but not spaces. this makes your readerboard name 6 characters, not 7.

For task 20.4, the book must be 350 pages long. the edition you linked to is only 343 pages. If you read a different edtion with more pages, please re-post, linking to the edition that you read.

I'd suggest using Catching Fire for 25.6 Fall Days and Nights as it has fall colours, rather than try to claim it for 30.7

Yes, I've seen her too and she is annoying.

Neither Sue Grafton nor Stacy Schiff are noted as being Goodreads authors. If they were, the notation (Goodreads author) would show up beside their names on the main book page or in the upper right-hand corner of their profile on the author's main page.

Dee (austhokie) | 8947 comments Catching Fire can also be used for the 25 point Falling task - if you joined GR in 2009 (that is where I am using it)

Eilymay (eilisislocajustlikecocoa) Ok, I give in :) I'll just find another task to put it in, I got some good suggestions from others. Sorry for any time wasted on this rather pointless argument :) Oh, and thanks for all your work as a moderator (its not often I get to chat with one so I thought I'd take the opportunity to say thanks :)

Sorry about that, I didn't switch to the correct edition on 20.4 and I have switched some books around to make 10.4 work. Tasks are reposted.

A country such as England would not usually be considered an "island" in the context of this task, referring to being "shipwrecked."

This book would work for several other tasks in the challenge - 30.5A (writing about a country other than his birth country), 25.9A (nonfiction travel book),25.3B3 (nonfiction book),5.8 (SON). There are a number of other potential fits, but these came immediately to mind.

Bea Donna Jo, I know that I am not Sandy, but I added up your posts, and they make 305.

10x4 = 40
15x4 = 60
20x4 = 80
25x3 = 75
30x1 = 30

Task 30.2 also requires that each of your books meet a different option from the second section of the task. Please repost, indicating which option each book meets (this shouldn't be a problem, both books should meet at least a couple of these options, but you need to indicate this info in your post).

No problem - it's actually much easier for me if errors get spotted quickly, because there's less for me to go through, finding the mistake. The longer it carries along, the more complicated it gets!

There are several Carlas in the challenge. You will need to visit the READERBOARD NAMES - Read Posts # 1 & 2 thread and choose a unique Readerboard name so we can tell you apart.

Once you've done that, you will need to repost your completed tasks with your new Readerboard name at the top of your post. Thanks!

OK My Bad. I read the paperback version (what was I thinking when I posted it?) I really don't need the big book tickets since I usually finish but I thought well gee this will work there.

For task 25.1B, the book you use must have exactly 4 letters from ALEXANDRIA, no more, no fewer. The book you posted has 5 of the letters.

On task 20.5, there is a 3d book in that series, published in July 2011, so the book doesn't work for option D. Fortunately, it's listed as "fantasy" so it works for option E, so I've used that option!
