Book Covers - The Good, The Bad and The WTF?
I don't think I like this cover. Something about it looks awkward to me. Is it just me, or do the cleats look way too big?
Those look like cartoon clown sized cleats. WTF YO? PROPORTION is IMPORTANT!

Great link Cassi. :)I like this cover because the hair looks like a scorpion tail. The concept looks very interesting, but early reviews look sort of low, which is discouraging. I might check it out anyway, since there aren't a whole lot of reviews to compare, either.

I don't like that picture of the guy...dunno...he doesn't look as handsome to me for some reason.
Did you mean he doesn't look as handsome compared to the first three covers, or just not handsome in general? I assumed it was the same guy, but I didn't look closely, so maybe it's a different person. I do think the guy doesn't look as great on this cover (the goatee is an odd shape from the front on view), but I love the color scheme and the design.
It's probably silly, but I've always had a little bit of a fascination with the Atticus cover model, especially on the cover of book 2 (Hexed). I had to stop for a second to go look and see if it's the same guy. After looking at them side by side, I can't tell.
The books are just as well received by men and women and aren't girly at all, so I think it's kind of funny/cute that we're talking about how sexy he is!
I just noticed that there are prequels to the series. Has anyone read them?
I read the prequels, they were fun. From what it said on the publishers website, they are all the same model. I think he's gorgeous personally. Not normally my type, but he's definitely intriguing.

I like that the cover model is how I actually picture Atticus to look. He looks like a normal guy but in a good way, if that makes sense.
It totally makes sense. I think the same thing.
Do we know said models name? He's pretty enough to google.

I like the Hounded one. I like his profile. I kinda wish they had left the font white. Unless it's shiny in real life.

I don't know what it is...maybe it's the shadows in this picture? You can't see his eyes and his face looks thinner. And his hair looks too combed, not like in the other images where it was more tousled.
Maybe they just did a weird photoshop on the image.
But I agree with you Stacia. The art looks EXACTLY how Atticus is described.

That is one of the WORST covers I've ever seen. So hard to tell the difference between the boobs and the butt. That's not the type of quandary you should have when looking at a book cover.

The only person I can see from this group who's read it is Samantha, so maybe she'll see this and give her opinion. It looks like the book wasn't her thing, though.
Two people on my friends list didn't like the book, and the rest all seemed to absolutely love it, so of course, that doesn't clear things up one way or the other.
I don't think I'll read them, but the cover is pretty eye-catching, I will admit.

Are you looking to post just the clicky thumbnail pic, like how we do in the currently reading topic? If so, you'll see (add book/author) above the comment box. Click it, then check the circle that says cover before doing your search and adding the book.
Then you'll get this :
If you want post an actual full sized picture, you'll find the instructions located also above the comment box if you click on (some html is ok) and look where it says image :
If those instructions confuse you, I have a simple instruction on the last page of the chat topic in this group.
The cover is interesting, but I heard it had nothing to do with the actual book. What's up with publishers doing this...

Is it just me, or does it look like the cover designer for this Atlantis thing must have channeled a Michael Grant book?
- The summary is a bit dry, but the concept has me intrigued.
- Two kids on a book. Apparently, this is how the world ends.Actually, I think I like the two most recent covers much better than the first three in the series.
I like the newest cover a lot! First of all, the picture they have for Sanjay (maybe Edilio) is HOT... that guy is hot.I didn't like the covers at all when I first got them. But now I like trying to figure out who's on the covers.
From the graphics (if I didn't know better) it would look like those are the same series.

I actually like these covers, but the names? From Bumped to Thumped? What's next? Lumped? Stumped? Humped?
Okay, never mind. As I was pulling up the second picture, I saw that the summary called it the conclusion. Whew. Good thing it stopped at book 2. Book 3 could have been one strange title...
I like Pumped. Though Humped might be more acurate, given the subject matter of the book. I do like the covers and how they go together, but I agree that the "matching" titles are a bit much.
Now that I know there are only 2, I may actually read the second one. I wasn't in love with the first one, and I had high hopes for it.
Exactly! Though maybe she's saving it for a prequel...
