Jenny (narcisse) | 1946 comments I like all of the Lunar Chronicles covers.

I do like the green on the new Dustlands book, but that dude is creepy. Is that supposed to be DeMalo?

I love the Lunar Chronicles too!

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Alright.... Next cover... thoughts?

I like the silver, the blending is pretty. I just hate books with random posing people on the covers. (similar to the Michael Grant Gone covers.)

Jenny (narcisse) | 1946 comments lol well... yeah.

I don't really like faces on my books up close. It messes with my imagination!

Perfect!

message 1058: by [deleted user] (new)

I love the covers for this entire series, and this is a great addition imo.

I've seen this one a few times now, and I always top to look. It looks very interesting!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments Book 3 of Jasper Dent reminds me of the prequel to Hold Me Closer, Necromancer.

message 1064: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Okay, every time I read Hold Me Closer, Necromancer, I hear Elton John singing "hold me closer Tiny Dancer". And I don't even know if those are real words in the song.

message 1065: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (narcisse) | 1946 comments Blood of My Blood reminds me of the Dothraki.

message 1066: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) The title? It reminds me of Outlander.

The cover is gorgeous. Definitely all about the Crow King. I can not wait to read that!

message 1067: by Stacia (the 2010 club), groupaholic, YA-MA founder (last edited Jan 21, 2014 10:36AM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments Do you mean the next Necromancer book or Jasper Dent? I've only read book 1 of both series, so I'm still behind.

message 1068: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I meant the Jasper Dent book, though I suppose the both of them. I can't wait for the both of them.

This cover is quite pretty. I appreciate when an NA novel is not just a close up of some dude's abs, which is sadly the norm it seems.

message 1070: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Grooms (muse1009) | 100 comments Okay, copying and pasting a book cover image from my iPhone apparently didn't work. The book is Unravel by Calia Read.

message 1071: by Christine (last edited Jan 23, 2014 06:04PM) (new)

Christine McIntosh (queenxine87) A Galaxy Unknown (A Galaxy Unknown #1) by Thomas DePrima

The cover is sort of cheap and off-putting but I love this series. lol

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments A friend just linked the new Elementals cover in another group. I'm so happy that Michael got a makeover. He's come a long way from being stuck in that bush on the prequel cover. :p

I really am excited for Michael's book. He's become my favorite character of the series.

message 1073: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I gotta say, I like that cover a LOT more!

message 1074: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 867 comments Loved the cover (and the guy ;). And loved the news too!. Michael's book! That makes me want to resume the series where I left it.

message 1075: by Matt (new)

Matt (islandmatt) The Throne of Glass series covers. If you ever wanted a heroine to look badass, they pretty much cover it.

message 1076: by Stacia (the 2010 club), groupaholic, YA-MA founder (last edited Mar 21, 2014 09:27PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments Please tell me this is a placeholder cover? It doesn't look polished, and doesn't match the series at all.

Necromancer book 3.

message 1077: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) This third book isn't going to be about the same people. It's starting over with a new character in the same world.

message 1078: by Stacia (the 2010 club), groupaholic, YA-MA founder (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments But if it's the same series, wouldn't the font be the same or some of the design styling, even with different characters?

message 1079: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) You would think, lol. Especially since that's how it's numbered. It would have been easier if she'd done it as a spin-off like Vampire Academy and Bloodlines.

I know this is an older comment, but I enjoyed reading through pages of these! Some gorgeous (and not so much) covers on here.

The reason for the identical image (with a bit of editing) is that the author bought the rights to use a stock image, but others can also buy the rights to use it as well. So...another author, not knowing that image is already on a book, will buy the rights and make a cover with the same image.

The only way to avoid that is to pay an outrageous fee for exclusive rights (no one else can use it, buyer now owns the photo) or to shoot your own photos for the cover. And if you think some of THESE are bad... :/

Katy | 478 comments Did you guys see the cover for The Ruby Circle (Bloodlines, #6) by Richelle Mead ?

I don't think it's as bad as the others XD

message 1089: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 867 comments I still haven't read Seraphina but I've just seen that the sequel has a pretty amazing cover:

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments I like how the Seraphina sequel reminds me of an old timey book.

I like the purple. The cover models (and their awkward posing) will never do it for me, but the color scheme on this cover is very pretty.

message 1091: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (narcisse) | 1946 comments I love Seraphina and its covers. Poor Richelle Mead. Sydney's facial expression.

message 1092: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Don't like the cover of the new Richelle Mead.... but I do like the spines of them on my bookshelf!

message 1095: by Janelle (new)

Janelle Fila (janellefila) These are great covers. I bet book 3 will be a red pill/bubble because I'm assuming that's what the colors are representing, the three pills?i>

Ooh, I like these! Especially how the colors match. Again, very much makes me want to pick up this book!

message 1096: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I don't actually, it was something I read a while ago. I don't even remember which author it was...

message 1098: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie I just realized the second Great Library book has a cover. This whole series is drool-worthy.

Ink and Bone (The Great Library, #1) by Rachel Caine Paper and Fire (The Great Library, #2) by Rachel Caine

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments How is the series so far? I wouldn't mind trying another Rachel Caine series.

message 1100: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie I really liked the first book, although I know some people thought it was boring/dry. The second book is slated to come out July 2016.
