I like the absence of his wings but not the feathers. It is interesting. I suppose I should read silence soon. lol
I only read Hush Hush, never continued the books. Are they worth it?

I have that book sitting on my bookshelf, I loved the cover as well. It's what lead me to want to read it.
This thread is interesting because you always hear "you can't judge a book by its cover" but it seems that so many do. It also makes me wonder about who decides on the cover art. There are some pretty cheesy covers out there and you can bet that somebody got paid to do the cover and somebody got paid to make the decision on who that would be. It also makes me wonder about all the e- books now. Is the cover really important in that regard? If not how does that affect some peoples choices? Just food for thought...
Before Goodreads I was more apt to judge a book by it's cover. However now I use the opinions of friends. Somebody at the publishers makes the decision. From what I hear around the internet sometimes they consult the author, sometimes they don't. Too many covers nowadays are made with stockart in my opinion.

There are some pre..."I agree with Cassi that GR has made it easier to use the opinions of trusted friends. Before GR, it was about browsing the bookstores/libraries or maybe checking out some Amazon reviews (which are rigged a lot of the time). So it was almost always a crapshoot.
I'm more likely now to read a book with an ugly cover if trusted friends are telling me it's worth the read. I'm also very big on looking at summaries. Lately, if I'm not working on some sort of a group/buddy/challenge type of read, I think about what subject or genre I want to read and go from there. Exploring different subjects is fun, so I'll often go looking for something that's subject specific.
Pretty covers will get a book added to my TBR list if there aren't any opinions out yet, but if enough people that I trust say the book sucks after release, I'm not going to waste my time unless the subject is one that really appeals to me and I'm willing to risk it. But that's rare.

Ward didn't want to write this book for the longest time because it's about a m/m couple and most of the books are m/f. She said that she was probably going to make a side novella instead because she didn't want to alienate some of her fans. The fans have been pushing back to have Qhuinn as a featured lead and it looks like a lot of people got their wish.
Qhuinn is one of the best characters though and he looks like an assassin on that cover. Even better.

I'm not at fussed about Atticus's cleavage. I want him anyways, cleavage and all.

I liked the first MUCH better than this one. Definitely, not a fan of the cover, BUT I am highly anticipating this book. So I don't really care about the cover, I just want it to be as good as the first book or better!

He's a real person but not a red head. Apparently he's even more rugged before photoshop. That's all Kevin Hearne will say about it.
Eeek, I'm excited about Trapped, and Cassi, I agree. I'll take Atticus cleavage and all. He can quote Shakespeare to me all day and I'll be happy. So, while I think its a cool cover if the entire series matched, here's hoping that it does change before the release.

I haven't. I only finished
last week and it's rare that I read series books back-to-back these days. Hopefully I'll get to it soon though before I forget any details. It was a bad idea to split up books 2 and 3 with so much time in between. There were a few chapters of confusion for me with Hammered before things started to fall into place.
I got the feeling that something would happen in Tricked that would elevate Granuaile and Atticus relationship. I'm thisclose to finishing Dust & Decay, so I think I'll do Tricked next.
I don't read series back to back either. I need some space in between the books but I've learned that I can't wait that long either. :)
It can be rough if you wait too long and lose some of the former excitement.
Wow, the Finale cover is really nice. Guess I should read Silence one of these days. Nora drove me so nuts in the 2nd book, I never did get the third.

I know! It's a tightly guarded secret. I thought about going to a Kevin Hearne signing tonight (it's 1.5 hrs away & I've driven a lot this week which is why I didn't go) just to see if I could bribe him with cookies to give me a name or at least an unphotoshopped pic for further investigation.
