I really enjoyed it, not love though. I am not a huge fan of highlander books. Outlander ruined it for me, I just can't find something that wows me as much, but I loved all the characters and wonder what will happen next. I gave it a solid 4 stars for a first book of a series and first historical romance. I did preorder the other two. I am hoping/expecting them to be better. I'm not sorry I read it and would recommend it. There were signature MB love scenes, they were good, not erotica, but romance good.

I'm still torn. If it's at Target still for $5.99, I'll grab it, but I don't want to pay $7.99 for an ebook, when I just paid $12.99 for Dark Predator and have to pay $7.99 for Envy, and $7.99 for the next Nalini Singh book... know what I mean?

My daughter read them all, one after the other, and she's planning out our day tomorrow so we're sure to get to Target before my grandsons get dropped off here to be babysat! LOL!
