Just re-read it after 25 or so years. Thoroughly enjoyed Edgar Wallace's style and pace."
I am reading his books as most of them are in public domain like The book of all power and The Green Rust and am loving them. Will be giving it a go??
Just finished The Fault in Our StarsNow reading the Matched trilogy, finished with Matched now onto Crossed
Finished reading The Betrayal of the Blood Lily. Read my review here... https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Read - The catcher in the RyeReading - Rage in the Jungle Raj on the Street
About to Read - The Lowaland
I started reading a really difficult book: The Arctic Home in the Vedas by Bal Gangadhar Tilak.I thought it was a kind of introduction to the Veda and their content and meaning. Instead this book, that has a lot of details (above all geological and astronomical ones) proves that the Aryans lived at the North Pole and then they moved to the Indian subcontinent and to northern Europe. In fact it seems that there are some points in common in the different mythologies.
I must start also an easy book, this one is so hard to get through!
Finished "The lowland" By Jhumpa Lahiri. Not impressed this time by Lahiri.Going to read now :Be careful what you wish for"
Currently reading Underworld as a part of my big read challenge. It took me 250 pages to get a hang of Delilo's narration.. :D
I gave it up with The Arctic Home in the Vedas. It was difficult and full of details about astronomy and geology. It is and interesting book but boring because of the many repeated details. Now I started two books:
The Wildings by Nilanjana Roy and
The Novel Cure: From Abandonment to Zestlessness: 751 Books to Cure What Ails You. This one is also funny and interesting. I decided to start this "novel cure" so I will read the recommended books for my diseases. It will be a new challenge and I do it just for fun but also to see if this cure really works.
i am daring myself by reading "A Suitable Boy " just finished 1/4 of it and thank god there is in bulit dictionary in nook else i would never read it past 100 pages.Hoping to read atleast 10 books by indian authors.
Fin reading- And the mountains echoed- Khalid hosseiniReading- the moon and six pence -Somerset Maugham

Abhilasha wrote: "Next lined up- My Antonia - Wilella Cather"I so want to read 'My Antonia' as well.. it is on my reading list for the next couple of months.. will await an update from you, once you finish it, Abhilasha :)
Smitha- yes it was a lil disappointing. Felt kinda incomplete..as though I keep expecting something to happenApoorv- ya sure! It might be awhile though :)
I finished:1. Heat Rises
Still Reading: Trip-wire for Tiger by F.W.Champion.
Started:-
1. Frozen Heat
Suddenly the Nikki Heat series book#3 & Book#4 have become a page turner read. The plot is much better than the previous ones. The only problem for me was the extra unwanted descriptions.
finished with the Matched Trilogy, my first experience in YA books. Found it ok, first one started well but the remaining two just did not match my expectations :)Have started reading
and simply loving it. My first book by Camus and its wonderful. Also reading

Just finished The Cuckoo's Calling and now I'm stumped as to which genre to pick up next. My mind is veering towards The Maze Runner.Anyone read it?
March Reads - Predator, The Prophecy of Trivine, Dead ZeroContemplating whether to pick up the next in Robots in Time series. April looks dry at the moment.

Oh, I wanted to read it

Maze Runner is definitely a good read! Anyone interested in dystopias will like it. The writing is not so great and so is the characterisation. Makes me realise how wonderful JKR is in that aspect. But the story is interesting and the narrative gripping
Just Read- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It was on my to-read list since a long time and after watching a vlog adaptation I was determined to read it =)
Meetasha wrote: "Just Read- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It was on my to-read list since a long time and after watching a vlog adaptation I was determined to read it =)"One of my favourites!
I am currently reading Mistborn....:))
I put on a hold The Novel Cure: From Abandonment to Zestlessness: 751 Books to Cure What Ails You because I want to read the books that are suggested for the diseases that start with the "A". This will also be part of a new personal challenge: to read the books, from A to Z, that are recommended for my diseases.
I finished reading The Wildings by Nilanjana Roy and for me it was just an ok read. I think it's more a book for children because it has also some teachings.
I started re-reading Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype because I feel I need to read it again in this period. But I'm going on very slowly because I'm again very busy and because it is an important book so I want to read it slowly to be sure to catch all the important teachings of it.
Just finished The Shiningby Stephen King. Now onto American Gods by Neil Gaiman,
Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline and
Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson:) :)
@sri read mistborn first...:))

Just picked it up for what the author says "Once you can talk about what troubles you, you are some way towards handling it." and "when you have found your voice, you can be heard."
