I just finished the first book of Freak Angels. My favorites are Lost girls, Lucifer, Black Hole & Heavy Liquid.

Hi there Chris, welcome.
Here's a recommendation for you. You seem to like Vertigo comics so maybe you'll enjoy Preacher.

My name is a Jason and while I've read comics intermittently for the last year or two, I've been on the grind of late. One of my best friend's is a huge comic/graphic novel fan and he put me on to a number of series including: Y the Last Man, Walking Dead, Northlanders, and Invincible. I'm currently reading Watchmen. Look forward to meeting you all.

I'm Michael and together with Eclair created 'The Rostical Users'.
Check out our manga here;

It's mean as, tell us what you think!!
And here's the profile to the ebooks (manga follows them word by word).

Hope you all have a delicious evening!

Big fan of graphic novels, so I thought I'd join this group. I've been catching up on some of the new Marvel stuff, and some old Marvel stuff recently (Busiek's Avengers run for example). I stick only to graphic novels, as I don't have time or space for single issues. Looking forward to jumping into the next reading discussion if possible.

I've just recently started using goodreads after signing up a while back and was delighted to find this graphic novel group. I've been reading comics my whole life and I still avidly read graphic novels and TPB's.
Lately I've been reading Locke & Key, Mouse Guard, and anything Mike Mignola has a hand in.

I started out with a small Kabuki craving, which developed into daily abuse of Y: The Last Man, Preacher, and Fables. It's a full fledged habit at this point and joining this group will surely exacerbate the problem.
I'm currently reading Saga, I,Vampire, Gambit, Mind the Gap, Before Watchmen, Revival, and Fairest (kind of-I mostly want the Adam Hughes covers.) I'm delving into Runaways, considering Aquaman and Batwoman, and looking forward to Halloween Eve by Amy Reeder.

Big fan of comics since I was a kid, now in my late 20s I'm still in love with them.
I enjoy the mainstream stuff put out by the Big 2 (DC + Marvel) as well as indie stuff published by Drawn and Quarterly, Top Shelf, Fantagraphics, IDW, and Dark Horse.
I read and review a lot of comics but I'm hoping to pick up some good recommendations and hopefully have some interesting discussions on comics too.

I'm Amit from India. I've been a comic fan since my childhood. While growing up, I mostly used to read comics which used to publish in India in my native language(Hindi). I can't recollect, but for some reason, I had stopped reading comics, until recently I came across the intriguing world of zombies, the undead and the goon, created by Eric Powell and since then I've been glued to Graphic novels. I haven't read too many but so far I've enjoyed reading Alan Moore(didn't like Neonomicon),Garth Ennis, Scott Snyder, Eric Powell,Craig Thompson and Frank Miller. These days I'm reading "Maus". I think this group is a nice place to explore the ever expanding world of Graphic novels by getting to know each others recommendation and opinions.

I'm Claudia from the Bay Area :c) So I just started reading graphic novels. I had read Watchmen (which I did enjoy) and randomly picked up Sandman while hanging out at a friends house and decided I needed to read more! I tend to like Noir and some fantasy. I'm finishing up Locke and Key (LOVING IT!) and about to pick up Sleeper after reading Incognito. I think I'm in love with Brubaker and Phillips :c)
Anyways, being such a noob I am looking forward to discovering other awesome stories to follow. :c)

My name's O'Brian and I'm a comic book nerd. Currently I'm working my way through the Irredeemable series by Mark Waid. Some of my favorites series include Sin City, Watchmen, Red Robin and I've recently gotten into The Walking Dead. Kirkman's Invincible series also sounds interesting.
Other than that I'm also a writer who likes to write about superheroes. You can actually check out some of my work on JukePop Serials. My story "Dark on the Rock " is about four genetically and cybernetically enhanced teenaged supersoldiers who are "rescued" and taken in by the very superheroes they were designed to kill. I also have work that will be featured on Super Flash Fiction and Chaos Theory: Tales Askew.
I'm looking forward to participating in the group and any recommendations you all may have.
Here's a link to "Dark on the Rock.'' Feel free to comment and vote for it if you like what you read. I plan on adding a new episode every Friday.

Take care, guys!

Locke & Key might be my favorite thing EVER. So good. SO GOOD.
Oh, hello! I'm Kelly (or Kellybeth for long, kb for short). Never really read comics as a kid, probably got into this sort of thing with Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and of course, Sandman. I haven't read too much superhero type stuff, but I am open-minded. I love words and art, and feel that any subject can be done well (and can also be done quite badly, of course).
I work at a library, mainly in the Children's section (where I do read quite a lot of kids books - nothing wrong with that, right?)
Enjoying reading posts in this group, so I thought I should introduce myself :)

Hello everyone! My name is Hannah and I'm from the UK. I joined this group to meet new people and have some pretty amazing conversations with folk that have an interest in comic books and anime!
I've been looking for a new group that has an interest in comic books and this group seems lively, so I'd thought I might join it here. Looking through the replies to this thread, people are real welcoming and nice so I am staying here for a very long time!
I'm looking forward for mingling and hopefully meeting new people in this group and to also find more interesting comic books!:)

We represent several publishers, one of whom has published comics and graphic novels: Arsenal Pulp Press. Their latest release is Escape to Gold Mountain: A Graphic History of the Chinese in North America, which comes out this November. I also recommend The Anti-Capitalist Resistance Comic Book: From the WTO to the G20 for readers who prefer alternative or political comics.
We'd love to hear suggestions for other small, independent presses who publish graphic novels, too!

Sorry for the long post, I hope to discover new books in this group!

I've been picking up Graphic Novel gems whenever I can ever since and am involved in creating some of my own.
Especially keen on European stuff and quirky off the wall stories.

Don't mind a bit of Batman and X-Men, either.
Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Only read DC comics (severe brand loyalty) 10-12 titles a month, mainly superman & batman. First GN I read was Watchmen, though my favorite is Identity Crisis. Looking forwad to future discussions.

How is the Hunger Games fan club applicable to comics/graphic novels?"
Yeah. Apparently Faith just joined to spread the word about her group, since she already left this group.
There's nothing wrong with wanting to publicize something here but since she did it in a completely off-topic manner I guess I'll delete her post. :(

Once an avid reader of graphic novels, but have been out of the fray for a while now. My last graphic read of any kind were the short story anthologies, Flight, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I'm looking for suggestions and inspirations, as I illustrate and write myself. Looking forward to getting in on the conversation!
