Hello.... I'm cam... always on a search for a new action author. I've read all of Rollins, Reilly, Robinson, Kuzneski, and Berry. I've found a couple great books by accident on amazon.... Ben Hammott Ice Rift & Jonathon Maberry Patient Zero...always in look out for new action books.

Have you tried the Sabel Security thrillers by Seeley James? They have an unusual setup and a couple of interesting (and slightly tweaked) lead characters.
Welcome to the group Cam. This is definitely a great place to find new action books. I've discovered so many great authors here just from reading others recommendations and reviews.

Welcome to the group Lynn! I have not read anything by Dominic Piper, but he sounds good, I will definitely check him out. For this group it really doesn't matter what genre/subgenre you like, as long as it involves action and/or adventure then you're in the right place! There are lots of great people here who will be more than happy to give you some recommendations. You might want to check out our Bookshelf to see what other member have been reading.

Welcome to the group Lindig! I hope you enjoy the group read. I've never read Modesty Blaise, but I have been hearing lots of great things about the series.

Tend to read stuff by Michael Connelly, Robert Crais, Scott Mariani, Lee Child, CJ Box, Gordon Ferris etc.
I have to admit to be very busy over the last few months, so unfortunately the reading and writing has taken a back seat, but I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things, and updating the groups I'm a member of!

Welcome to the group Sari!

I'm never exactly sure what to say so I'll take the easy option and just post my author bio...sorry.
Author Lee Sherred has led a full life that, in many ways, rivals those of the heroes and anti-heroes he creates. A skilled martial artist, fighter, British Soldier and Police Officer, Lee has amassed a wealth of knowledge in many areas.
A lifelong reader, Lee knew long ago that he’d one day pen his own novels. After a long career serving his country, a significant injury left him with unexpected and unwanted downtime. For the first time in his life he finally found the motivation to put pen to paper, turning his firsthand experiences into absorbingly dark and humorous stories that readers will love.
When not writing, Lee can be found at his home on the South Coast of England, enjoying family time with his wife, kids and a trio of unruly family pets.
Ps I actually joined because this is one of my favorite genres to read. I was just advised long ago, when writing, to 'write the book you'd want to read.'
Thanks
Lee

Very good and easy to follow.
Terry wrote: "Hi all. Old retired guy who likes Clive Cussler and just discovered the Trident Deception, #1 series by author Rick Campbell.
Very good and easy to follow."
Welcome to the group Terry! I'm a Clive Cussler fan as well.

Welcome to the group Terry! I'm a Clive Cussler fan as well.

I'm a House-hubby, so the kids take the main priority (ages 8 & 1) but I like to fill my down time with reading, video games and good tv/movies (pretty much in that order). I also love cooking and I've recently been dabbling in drawing and creative writing...
I'm looking forward to our future buddy reads and to being active in your group!
Quick Question: Does this book fit your parameters? Arrowood Just asking because I saw some PI style novels in one of your other forums...
Cheers!
Welcome to our group Chris! There are so many subgenres that fall under action/adventure that we do have quite a variety when it comes to our bookshelves. That is one of the things I like best about this group. We hope you enjoy it here and look forward to your participation. And to answer your question...Yes, Arrowood is a mystery thriller and definitely fits our parameters. Sounds like an interesting story.

Randy from southern California here. I found your book while looking for a "thriller" group to join. I liked your bookshelves and also have some friends here so thought I'd jump in.
Looking forward to meeting you all and talking books. Friend requests always welcome.

I just joined this group. I live a quiet life so I love reading adventure books and look up the locations on Google. I am always looking for a new author who can keep my attention and maybe learn a trick or two ;)
If anyone has any "must read" suggestions, my bookshelf at home is pretty empty. I like James Rollins and Clive Cussler, any other authors I should check out?
Welcome to the group Randy and Katie! This is a great place to find great new authors Katie. Check out our Bookshelf to see a list of all the books our members enjoy. We also have a monthly group read, buddy match-up, as well as a member-author group read, so please feel free to jump in!
Welcome, Randy and Katie.
Katie, I would recommend Gregg Hurwitz's Agent X/Nowhere Man series and David Baldacci's Will Robie series off the top of my head. Im' a huge Matthew Reilly fan as well. :)

Igor be my name, and I am, in four words: ex-military, author, and literary adventurer.
Action wise, I'm quite fond of Ludlum, Clancy, Dale Brown, but I also enjoy nonfiction military books, like Black Hawk Down or Bravo Two Zero. And anything with lots of numbers and hardware.
That is it for now ...
Be excellent to each other, and party on.
Igor

GR can be a little overwhelming at first, so take it slowly, and the best way to get involved is discussions on books - through reviews, ratings - your own and other people's.
Igor

The books I write would likely fall into the action/adventure category, although this category seems to be broad and have flexible boundaries.
The first two books deal with attempted terrorist activities in the US and the efforts taken to thwart them. Action moves through various parts of the US and to many other countries. Characters are based on people I have actually encountered. A major inspiration is to include a broad cross section of the population. They are designed to entertain, but also inform and foster tolerance, acceptance, and respect.
Please look for "Three Kisses" and "Day of Judgment". There will be another giveaway shortly.
Happy reading, Heath
Welcome, Heath! We ask authors not to promote their books in their introduction. We have an author/reader thread and also promotional threads for authors to talk about their books with readers.
