Leslie, there is currently no description of the story or of the book's structure (the taking turns reading thing) on the book's page. If you're up to joining the librarian's group you can make a quick post there asking them to add those descriptions.
Or, at least, you can copy the information you typed in msg 1 into a 'review' for the book.
Are any of the series really good books, even if you don't take into account the structure? I mean, do any of them have really fun or nice stories and illustrations, or get asked for over and over?
It seems like a great idea for a series - I hope your son enjoys them and develops into a lifelong lover of books! :)

I have only read the one book that I linked, but hope to get more. His teacher only had 7 so we will get the other 6.
I will tell you he ran into Kindergarten and told his teacher "I read a whole book", then said mommy read one page and then I read one page.
I will try to dig up more info. but would love to hear what librarian's would have to say about them.
Thanks
I discovered them from my son's new Kindergarden teacher. What I like is one page the adult reads and the second the child reads.
They come as levels like the readers 1,2,3.
They are a really cool way to read together. With regular books, I would just read and when I found a word that I know my son knew then I would point to it and he would read it.
These are a great series for new readers
