Loupgaroutfts | 8 comments I don't remember much about the book, but it took place in the UK, pre-1970s. All I can say for sure about the book is that the boy bought a greyhound for a 5 pound note and, for some reason, I think that he was poor and the man selling the dog was at least well off. I don't think it took place in London, but it was an urban setting. It was probably a young adult novel, at least a coming of age tale (without all the sex and nonsense that coming of age tales have these days).

BookWoman | 125 comments Could it be Helen Griffiths, The Greyhound, 1968, copyright?
